Maurizio Sarri now favourite in Premier League sack race

Chelsea gaffer Maurizio Sarri is now odds on to be the next Premier League boss to be fired.

Our traders have updated their odds following the Blues’ 2-0 loss to Everton last weekend.

This has seen the Italian boss in at 4/7 favourite to be next out of the door in the top-flight.

His conqueror on Sunday, Marco Silva is next in line at 4/1 – but that victory over Chelsea could stave off any immediate worries.

Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati said: “it now seems more a case of ‘when’ and not ‘if’ Roman Abramovich will call time on Sarri’s sorry stint in the Stamford Bridge dugout.”

Is Champions League qualification enough to save Sarri or will Abramovich pull the plug already?

Whatever happens, this one looks set to roll on for at least one more week.
