Six Nations Tips: Wales and Ireland to bag crucial wins?

Another huge weekend of Six Nations action is on the horizon. Especially for current table-toppers Wales, who still have a Grand Slam in their sights.
Warren Gatland’s side are off to Murrayfield. Meanwhile, England and Ireland are both favourites for contests on home soil.
Scotland v Wales
This has been a tournament to forget for Scotland thus far. Aside from an unremarkable victory over Italy, they’ve been easily seen off by Ireland and France.
12-0 down within 20 minutes against the Irish at Murrayfield, it could be a similar story against a Wales side who were electric against England in game three.
In the Match Betting, Gatland’s men are 8/15 favourites. It’s 13/8 for a Scotland win, and 20/1 on the Tie.
The visitors saw off Italy by an 11-point margin and England by eight (in that 21-13 comeback win). 6/5 says they come good on the -7 handicap again.
Josh Adams has played a big part in their success, with second-half tries in each of the last two games. He’s 11/8 for a Try Anytime, and 10/1 to score the last of the game.
Ireland v France
The luck of the Irish really does seem to exist in this fixture! They’ve won five of the last six head-to-heads, and nearly all have been narrow victories. The most recent saw Ireland snatch a 15-13 win at the death, thanks to a Johnny Sexton kick.
France don’t tend to travel well in the Six Nations. Perennial strugglers Italy are the only side they’ve beaten away from home in this competition since defeating Scotland in 2014.
Favourites Ireland should be strong enough to see Les Bleus off again. They’re 1/8 to do just that. Meanwhile, a French triumph is 5/1. However, a few could be keen on the Tie at 33/1 – the pair’s clashes in 2012 and 2013 both ended level.
Ireland are 5/1 to win by a 1-6 point margin. Generally strong starters, the hosts can also be backed at 1/3 to lead at half-time.
England v Italy
At odds of 1/100 for victory, it’s fair to say England are expected to clean up against an Italian side who have lost 20 Six Nations Games in a row.
Despite that dismal record, they’ve certainly not been whipping boys in recent games. None of Ireland, Scotland or Wales have beaten them with a margin of more than 12 points.
We go 2/1 for Italy to come good on the +24 handicap.
It’s England and Leicester Tigers ace Jonny May who leads the Try betting. He’s 1/3 Anytime, while 9/2 says he gets the first Try of the game.
Despite no wins so far, Italy’s Edoardo Padovani has been one of the tournament’s surprise stars. He’s got over the line in all three games so far, and is 3/1 for another Try here.
