ITV Racing Tips: Kachy if you can at Lingfield on Good Friday?

Kachy

Good Friday means one thing in the racing world – All-WeatherChampions Day! And this year’s card at Lingfield looks like a belter, withWissahickon and Kachy the star turns over 1m and 6f.

There are also a pair of intriguing contests from Newcastle, including an open looking Ladbrokes Burradon Stakes where Daarik looks set to go off as favourite.

We’ve marked your eight-race card with a full selection of picks in our ITV Racing Tips.

NAP – Kachy – 3:05 Lingfield

Middle Distance contender Wissahickon would’ve been our NAP of the day. But there’s notenough juice left in the price to take a real interest. So it’s Kachy who gets the nod as our main pickat Lingfield.

Tom Dascombe’s charge is a monster over 6f on theall-weather. He’s shown that twice already this season with cosy wins atWolverhampton and then over course and distance at Lingfield in the ListedCleves Stakes.

He’ll set a strong pace up-front. And there’s nothing tosuggest the market principals will be able to live with him. Based on all ofthat, it’s a fair bet he’ll make amends for his disappointment in this race 12months ago.

NB – Amade – 2:00 Lingfield

The French won this 12 months ago with Funny Kid and the top prize looks set to go Channel hopping once again with Amade. Top jockey Christophe Soumillon’s first-ever ride at Lingfield looks like one to savour.

Why? Just take a look at the form of the GiuseppeBotti-trained gelding. Put simply, it’s a sea of 1s. The five-year-old has wonfive in a row coming into this, including when hosing up at Chelmsford lastmonth.

He’s gone from strength-to-strength since stepping up to 2m, while his most recent form has been franked by the runner-up going on to take a Listed contest at Nottingham. In short, our tip is the one to beat.

Lively Longshot – Antagonize – 3:20 Newcastle

We’re off to Newcastle and the Ladbrokes Burradon Stakesfor our lively longshot, where a gamble is taken on Antagonize to make itreally Good Friday for punters at a double-figure price.

Bryan’s Smart’s charge has an interesting profile and is obviously highly thought of with an entry into the 2,000 Guineas. He’s been nibbled at in the market and could hit the frame at a course where he’s won before.

This is a much-tougher affair, but in a week where we’ve seen more than our fair share of big-price winners, a chance is given on the  three-year-old finding the improvement required to make the places.
