Match odds
This may not be as straight-forward for Liverpool as they’d hope. Southampton have beaten Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur at St. Mary’s Stadium already this campaign and are 7/1 for victory.
The Saints have won three of their last four league games and may feel two more wins will ensure Premier League safety.
The match betting has Liverpool at 2/5 to score three points, with both teams to bag in an away win at 21/10.
We have chalked up a first draw in four games between the pair at 18/5.
Talking Tactics
Ralph Hasenhuttl may have to recall Charlie Austin to the starting eleven, with both Shane Long and Danny Ings unavailable for this one.
Although he’ll be ably supported by the lively Nathan Redmond, as well as a midfield including Stuart Armstrong and James Ward-Prowse.
Liverpool have been handed a massive boost in this title run in with the news that Virgil van Dijk is fit to play.
The Merseysiders should have at least two former Saints in their starting eleven with the inclusion of Sadio Mane in attack and the aforementioned van Dijk.
Fabinho could come into the midfield with Jordan Henderson nursing injury.
Goalscorer odds
Mane is bang in form right now and can be found at 10/3 to break the deadlock. His strike partner Mohamed Salah hasn’t scored in eight games in all competitions but is 6/5 to bounce back with a goal today.
Trent Alexander-Arnold’s free-kick prowess could be worth keeping in mind with him at 7/1 to net anytime.
Austin and Ward-Prowse are both 7/2 to score for the Saints, while skipper Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is 13/2 to find the net anytime.
