England got their Cricket World Cupcampaign off to the perfect start with a 104-run win over South Africa onThursday. Now attention turns to a rematch with Pakistan after the recentfive-match ODI series.

Thetournament hosts dispatched Shoaib Malik and co. 4-0 thanks to a devastating performancewith both bat and the ball. Can they repeat the trick in the glorious summersun at Trent Bridge?

We’vepreviewed the match with our England vPakistan Betting Tips.

Match Odds

There’s nogetting away from England’s dominance over Pakistan last month. Add in the wayEoin Morgan’s men started the World Cup against South Africa, and they’ll befull of confidence ahead of this one.

Our traders go 2/7 about a second-straight win for the hosts, with the visitors out at 11/4. They’ll take heart from dumping the number one side in the world out of the ICC Champions Trophy on home soil two years ago.

Batting Odds

It’s time for us to hold our hands up. We thought Ben Stokes might find it a little tough at The Oval after a poor run of form. A match-winning knock of 89 and a gravity-defying catch to see off Andile Phehlukwayo told us..

With that in mind, it’d be churlish not to side with him here. The ginger-haired maestro is 5/6 to hit over 29.5 Runs and 8/1 to go down as England’s Top Runscorer.

By contrast, Jos Buttler failed to deliver. With only two 50+ knocks in his last 11, it could be worth backing him to score under 33.5 Runs at 5/6. Morgan, by contrast, is consistency personified. He’s 5/4 for a half-century.

Babar Azam has proved the most efficient at racking up runs for Pakistan. He produced a knock of 50+ in three of the four completed matches in the recent ODI series and is 11/10 to do so again at Trent Bridge.

Opener Imam-ul-Haq is also capable of clocking decent scores. We have him at 7/2 to be Pakistan’s Top Run Scorer.

Bowling Odds

Chris Woakes enjoyed plenty of success against Pakistan last month. He took four and five-wicket hauls in separate matches and is 6/5 to claim Over 1.5 scalps here, with 7/2 about him finishing as England’s Top Wicket Taker.

His companion Jofra Archer turned on the style against South Africa. He’s 8/11 to continue his devastating form and collect Over 1.5 Wickets at Trent Bridge.

What Pakistan lack with the bat they certainly don’t make up with when it comes to the ball. Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi is expected to do the most damage and is 3/1 to complete the match as the country’s Top Wicket Taker.
