Arsenal’s joy at beating north London rivals Tottenham at the weekend was tempered by the news midfielder Granit Xhaka faces up to three months on the sidelines with a knee injury sustained in the same game.
The Gunners’ 3-1 victory ensured they moved into the top half of the table and leapfrogged Spurs courtesy of goals scored.
Mikel Arteta’s side have won three successive Premier League games and are 6/4 to make it a fourth against the in-form Seagulls, so let’s examine their prospects in our Brighton v Arsenal betting tips.
Match Odds
Encounters between these clubs have tended to follow a symmetrical pattern in recent years, with Arsenal winning home and away last season as did Brighton in the previous campaign and they shared 1-1 draws in 2018/19.

Arsenal have won their last three games without conceding and that was the case in last season’s wins against Saturday’s opponents, so we go 16/5 on another win to nil as one of our Brighton v Arsenal betting tips.
Last season, Brighton finished well below where they should have done in expected goals terms, but they are overperforming this time round especially in attack where they are in the bottom six for the quality of their chances.

For what is expected to be a close encounter, we go 5/4 on under 1.5 goals in the first half, two or fewer after the break and either team to win which would have paid out in four of the Seagulls’ six games this season.
Talking Tactics
With Xhaka probably out until the new year, an opportunity has arisen in the heart of midfield for Belgian Albert Sambi Lokonga.
Arteta went with a 4-2-3-1 against Spurs in which Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang led the attack in front of Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe, so Xhaka aside we could see an unchanged team on Saturday.
Potter deployed his usual 3-4-3 at Selhurst Park with Lewis Dunk, Dan Burn and Shane Duffy at the back and Danny Welbeck and Leandro Trossard supporting Maupay in attack.
However, Welbeck and Yves Bissoum are injury doubts and Ateven Alzate has been ruled out.
Goalscorer Odds
Aubameyang scored Arsenal’s second goal in the north London derby – his second Premier League goal in three games – and is 7/2 to break the deadlock or 6/4 to find the net.
Smith Rowe got the ball rolling on Sunday and is 17/2 to do so again or 7/2 to score, while Odegaard is 17/2 and 10/3 in the same markets, with Saka 9/1 and 7/2 in our Brighton v Arsenal betting tips.
