Arsenal STILL most popular pick with punters for WSL title, despite drifting to THIRD in the betting

The bookies have revealed the latest figures, with the campaign now back underway after a winter break, and despite drifting to third-favourites in the betting (7/2), punters still fancy Jonas Eidevall’s side to upset the odds, with 33% of all bets up to this point being in favour of the Gunners winning the title.
Elsewhere, league leaders, Chelsea, have been the subject of 26.7% of outright bets placed, while Man City make up the podium spots with 12.3% of the backing.
It’s bad news for the red half of Manchester, though, with Marc Skinner’s side (6%) falling behind Aston Villa (6.8%) and Tottenham (6.2%) in the popularity charts.
Meanwhile, Siobhan Chamberlain previously told the bookies an unbeaten second-half of the season could be on the cards for Chelsea, which is currently priced at 4/1.

Speaking exclusively to Ladbrokes off the back of Chelsea’s surprise 4-1 defeat away at Arsenal before the winter break, the former Lioness had this to say:
“It’s not often that teams put four goals past Chelsea, and you might look at that result against Arsenal and think it will give other teams in the division confidence it taking something from Chelsea. But I actually think its more likely that it’ll have the opposite effect, and that Emma Hayes is not going to let that sort of result happen again.”
“She’s got the ability to get her team playing how she wants to when things aren’t going right. She’s such a good manager, that when things aren’t going right, she makes changes to ensure her players are doing what she wants them to do, and she knows how to reprimand them when they need to be reprimanded. Just like she knows when to be positive, and tell her players how great they are… she really understands the psychology of a footballer and how to get the most out of them.”
“After that performance against Arsenal, I would’ve hated to have been in that changing room. Firstly, because the players would’ve expected more of themselves, but mainly because Emma Hayes would’ve definitely expected more from them. And as a result of that defeat, she’ll be driving standards even more for the second-half of the season, especially given that it’s her last one in charge of Chelsea. In fact, my punchy prediction for the rest of the season is that Chelsea will go unbeaten in the league.”
