Arsenal’s new superhero boosted to score first against Swansea

Is it a bird, is it a plane? No, it’s Arsenal’s new Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez who has been boosted to carry on his prolific capers away at Swansea.

Ladbrokes have bumped up the price on Sanchez to score the game’s first goal at the Liberty Stadium from 9/2 out to 11/2 ahead of the televised clash.

Whenever Clark Kent got the call to save the world he never hesitated to react, no matter how awkward it was to wriggle out of the circumstances he was in.

Much like the bespectacled Daily Planet hack, Sanchez seems ever ready to answer the Arsenal distress call this season, as he’s scored five goals in his last three Premier League games alone.

In fact, the former Barcelona ace’s breathtaking goal against Anderlecht in midweek (below) was Sanchez’s 11th in all competitions already since arriving from Spain.

It doesn’t take a genius to see why he’s already drawn comparisons with Luis Suarez since gracing the Premier League.

His sharp-shooting, direct running at players and tenacity is a combination which has been knocking defences out all over the shop since he landed at the Emirates.

This bet would already have landed in six separate occasions this season, so this offer really is a corker.
