Ballon d'Or 2025 winner odds: The current favourites

Raphinha is the clear favourite in the latest 2025 Ballon d'Or winner odds released by Ladbrokes now that both Mohamed Salah and Kylian Mbappe have been knocked out of the Champions League.

The Barcelona attacker was as much as 14/1 to win football’s most prestigious individual prize earlier in March, but after several top performances and now with previous front-runners Mbappe and Salah knocked out of the Champions League, Raphinha has seen his place as the clear favourite consolidated further.

Salah, the heavy favourite to be named PFA Player of the Year, is viewed by the bookies as the second-favourite to win the prestigious trophy come the end of the year, and considering the fantastic campaign he's had in the Premier League, it's not hard to see why.

Rodri pipped Vinicius to the post and won the 2024 Ballon d'Or at the ceremony on October 28, and the latest odds suggest the Real Madrid man is going to miss out on the award again this year.

In fact, Vini isn't even in the top six favourites to win the Ballon d'Or this season, with Raphinha, Mbappe, Lamine Yamal, Ousmane Dembele, Robert Lewandowski and Salah all ahead of him in the betting.

With Barcelona still in the Champions League (the Spanish club actually at the head of the betting), Raphinha's chances of winning the competition and the Ballon d'Or are only growing.

Cal Gildart of Ladbrokes said: “And they say it’s all downhill once you leave Leeds! Raphinha might not be the most glamourous name in the Barcelona team, but his performances are making voters – and the bookies – take notice of his ability.”

Below are the 12 favourites to win the Ballon d'Or this year at October's ceremony, all of whom are priced between 5/4 and 25/1 at the time of writing.

Given that he's one of the favourites for the Ballon d'Or, it's not surprising that Salah is also the favourite to win the Golden Boot this year, having scored 27 Premier League goals in his opening 32 outings for his club in domestic league action.

Salah isn't only in the race for the Ballon d'Or, but he also leads the market with regards to the PFA Player of the Year odds, as mentioned previously, with the Liverpool winger the heavy favourite to win that award come the end of the season.
