Champions League 24/25: Barcelona vs Inter Milan first leg betting tips

Ahead of the 2024/25 Champions League semi-final first leg between Barcelona and Inter Milan, the experts at Ladbrokes share their top betting tips.

Fresh off the back of Copa del Ray glory, Barca look to continue their march towards an impressive trophy haul this season, while Inter hope to build on their quarter-final victory over German giants Bayern Munich.

Below are Ladbrokes' top betting tips for Barcelona vs Inter Milan on April 30, with the bookies backing Raphinha to score another Champions League goal.

With the semi-final first leg in front of him, the Brazilian winger is tipped to lead from the front again, scoring a goal at another crucial stage and showcasing exactly why he's the current favourite to win the 2025 Ballon d'Or.

Raphinha often sees a lot of the ball for Barca, and the talismanic winger will look to drive into the space behind Inter's full backs, picking up dangerous positions and testing Yann Sommer in the visitors' goal. And with the goalscoring form he's shown this season, we're backing him to add to his 12 UCL goals this term.

The Inter Milan full backs are in for a tough test against the ever-impressive Barca wingers, with Raphinha and Lamine Yamal both in red-hot form, and we're tipping Denzel Dumfries to be shown a card.

The Dutch defender will have a lot of defending to do as Barca look to spread the ball wide to their key threats, and as Dumfries has committed an average of more than two fouls per game in this season's Champions League, he could well be a target for both Raphinha and Yamal, who will constantly run at him and force him into tackles.

Dumfries does have an excellent success rate for tackles and duels this season, but the Barca wingers are arguably the best in the world, and in the heat of the Camp Nou, Ladbrokes thinks the Dutchman will get a couple wrong - resulting in a yellow card.

Lamine Yamal is arguably the star in this Barcelona team, racking up more than a goal contribution every other game at the age of just 17 and lighting up the pitch in every competition he plays in - with a man of the match display in the Copa del Ray final his latest blockbuster performance.

The teenager continues to toy with defences week in, week out, and with Inter likely lining up with a back three, he could find space in dangerous positions in this Champions League semi-final.

Picking up the ball on the right hand side before driving inside onto his lethal left foot, Yamal will be a constant threat to the stubborn, albeit out-of-form, Inter backline. With the confidence of a seasoned veteran and the ability to match any winger in the world, the teenager won't be shy about testing Yann Sommer - who will have to be at his very best to keep out the Champions League favourites.

The Barcelona midfield is capable of dictating any match, and Inter's Nicolo Barella will have to be on his game to stop them from supplying the likes of Raphinha and Yamal, breaking up play and disrupting the Catalan club's flow.

A key player for Simone Inzaghi and Inter, Barella's energy and intensity will be vital if Inter are to stop Frenkie de Jong and Pedri pulling the strings, and Ladbrokes is backing the diminutive Italian to put himself about admirably and make 2+ tackles at the Camp Nou.

Barella's role may shift slightly for this opening leg, as Inter look to soak up the Barcelona pressure and hit them on the break - just as they did to Bayern in the quarter-final. As a result, we expect to see him cover a lot of ground, putting pressure on the Barcelona players and nicking in to win a couple of tackles as he protects his defence from an inevitable barrage of attacks.
