Ahead of the 2024/25 Champions League semi-final second leg between PSG and Arsenal, the experts at Ladbrokes share their top betting tips.
The French champions take a slender lead into the second leg after their 1-0 win at the Emirates last week, but Arsenal's quarter-final triumph against Real Madrid will have them full of confidence as they head to Paris.
Below are Ladbrokes' top betting tips for PSG vs Arsenal on May 7, with the bookies backing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to score another Champions League goal.
Ladbrokes' top betting tips for PSG vs Arsenal
Under 1.5 total goals
After Tuesday night's breathtaking semi-final second leg between Inter Milan and Barcelona, this game is likely to be a bit of a calmer watch, with less chaos, fewer chances and much more control.
While PSG have earned a reputation this season for their exciting, free-flowing attacking play, they've also proved they can grind out important wins when needed, as seen against both Liverpool and Arsenal in the UCL already. Therefore, we're expecting a low-scoring game here, with fewer than 1.5 total goals.
Arsenal will believe they can turn this tie around, and rightly so, but with Arteta's pragmatic approach and PSG's dominance of the ball, their chances will be limited. There will also be two fantastic goalkeepers on the pitch at the Parc des Princes, so a goal-fest isn't likely.
Both teams to be shown 2+ yellow cards
A lot has been made of the referee for this UCL semi-final second leg, with Felix Zwayer seen as a controversial appointment due to his suspension back in 2005. However, he is a vastly experienced ref, and certainly isn't shy about brandishing a few cards.
In six Champions League matches this season, Zwayer has shown an average of five yellows per game, so he isn't likely to let much go unpunished. He's also shown four red cards in those six games, so both sets of players will need to be on their best behaviour tonight.
Neither side has picked up a remarkable number of cards this season, largely due to the fact that they both tend to dominate possession, but with so much at stake and passions potentially boiling over, Ladbrokes is backing both teams to be shown their fair share of yellow cards tonight.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to score anytime
One of PSG's countless world-class attacking talents, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has consistently shown his quality in this season's Champions League, often without finding the net - but Ladbrokes is backing him to grab another UCL goal against Arsenal.
The Georgian hasn't actually scored for PSG since their quarter-final home leg against Aston Villa, but grabbed the only assist at the Emirates last week and constantly threatened the Arsenal defence - who admittedly dealt with him quite well on the night.
But we expect the winger to be even more dangerous tonight, with Arsenal committing men forward to get their goal, potentially leaving space for Kvaratskhelia to exploit. Both his UCL goals this season have come from reasonably tight angles on the left wing, so don't be surprised if that's where he finds some joy again in this second leg.
Bukayo Saka to have 2+ shots on target
Arsenal have to score tonight, and when Arsenal need a moment of magic, Bukayo Saka is often the man to provide it. The young winger sees a lot of the ball on that right-hand side, and Saka is backed to have 2+ shots on target as the Gunners hunt for that all-important strike.
Nuno Mendes is renowned for bombing forward from left back, which will leave Bukayo Saka space to drive into, and having scored against PSG in the league phase back in October, Arsenal's talisman will have the confidence to test Donnarumma at the Parc des Princes.
The 23-year-old ranks highly among fellow wingers for shots on target per game in this season's Champions League, averaging almost two a game, and with Saka often taking it upon himself to drag his side through tricky times, we're expecting that trend to continue tonight.
