Looking forward to a new week filled with top-sport from the UK and the rest of the world? We certainly are, which is why we’ve marked your card with five events to look out for over the next seven days!
From Football to Cricket and plenty more in between, here’s what we’re eyeing up this week.
2020 IPL Final
It’s been almost two months since the rescheduled IPL began in Abu Dhabi, and after 59 matches, 805 smashing sixes and four fabulous super overs, we have our two finalists.
Four-time winners and defending champions Mumbai Indians will take on debut finalists Delhi Capitals live on Sky Sports at 14:00 on Tuesday afternoon.
The Indians, led by Rohit Sharma and Quinton De Kock are our 8/13 favourites, with Shikhar Dhawan, Marcus Stoinis and the Capitals priced at 5/4 to pull off a shock.
Euro 2020 Play-Offs
One match is all that stands between Northern Ireland, Scotland and Euro 2020. The pair will take part in the play-offs this week knowing that victory will guarantee their place in next year’s continental tournament.
Ian Baraclough’s side edged past Bosnia and Herzegovina to reach the final and now take on Slovakia at Windsor Park. The odds are narrowly in favour of the hosts at 31/20, with the visitors priced at 7/4.
Scotland, on the other hand, face a tricky away trip to Serbia, although the side ranked 30th in the world may be without Aleksandar Kolarov and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic following new restrictions in Italy.
While it’s unclear whether the duo can take part in the match, our traders are still expecting a Serbia victory at 8/13. Scotland are available at 21/5 to win and make their first major tournament since 1998.
US Masters Golf
Who’ll master the greens at Augusta National? That’s the biggest question of the week, as the world’s best golfers descend on the Georgia course to try and win the famous green jacket.
Bryson DeChambeau heads the field at 8/1, followed by Dustin Johnson at 9s, Jon Rahm at 10s Justin Thomas at 11s and Rory McIlroy at 12s.
Britain’s Tyrrell Hatton has been in fantastic form the last few weeks, and he makes for an interesting outsider at 28/1.
Cheltenham November Meeting
The National Hunt season has been trotting along just nicely over the last couple of weeks, but now things will begin to get a bit more serious with Cheltenham’s November Meeting.
There are two days of racing to look forward to from the Cotswolds, beginning on Friday when Grand Mogul and Nicky Henderson will bid for success in the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle.
Then on Saturday, all eyes will be on the Paddy Power Gold Cup, with progressive chaser and two-time Cheltenham winner Simply The Betts aiming to continue his good form for Harry Whittington.
Kell Brook v Terrence Crawford
Kell Brook will be facing one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world when he goes up against Terence Crawford in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Crawford is unbeaten in 36 bouts as a professional and has dispatched the likes of Julius Indongo and Amir Khan on his way to becoming WBO lightweight champion.
‘Bud’ will have been out of the ring for exactly 11 months by the time he faces ‘The Special One’ in Sin City, but our traders don’t see that as a problem. He’s 1/14 to defeat 7/1 rank outsider Brook, who has been forced to switch from regular trainer Dominic Ingle to Carlos Formento due to the coronavirus pandemic.
