Aberdeen v Breidablik betting tips and odds

Aberdeen have made a superb start to the season and it can get even better if they avoid defeat against Breidablik on Thursday.

The Dons have taken maximum points from their first two Scottish Premiership games either side of winning the first leg of their Europa League third-round qualifier in Iceland and are 4/11 to win the return at Pittodrie.

A clash with either Limassol or Qarabag awaits in the play-off round so let’s examine the markets and odds in our Aberdeen v Breidablik betting tips.

Match Odds

The Dons took a two-goal lead inside the first 11 minutes at Breidablik but were level at the break before in-form striker Christian Ramirez restored their lead with his second goal four minutes into the second half to secure a 3-2 victory.

Aberdeen to win and concede once again is available at 7/4, while both teams to score in the first half is 16/5 as one of our Aberdeen v Breidablik betting tips.

Stephen Glass’ side are also 11/10 to score in both halves as they did in Iceland and against Dundee United, but they can be backed at 7/1 to win from behind.

The visitors are also 17/2 to be leading at the break and failing to win bearing in mind the Dons were down at the break against Livingston at the weekend and went on to pick up three points.

Breidablik’s last three matches have involved at least four goals and that option is available at 27/20, while the Dons to win by that method is 11/5.

Ramirez and Lewis Fergsuon put Aberdeen 2-0 up inside the first 11 minutes last week and so we go 7/2 on the Scottish Premiership side to be leading after a quarter of an hour.

Talking Tactics

Glass deployed a 4-3-3 formation last week with Ramirez flanked by Jay-Emmanuel Thomas and Funso Ojo, but he made six changes for the last-gasp win at Livingston over the weekend because several players had picked up knocks in Iceland.

Ramirez and Scott Brown were both on the bench although the latter came on for winger Jonny Hayes a minute before half-time and the American played the last quarter, so both men are expected to be in the starting line-up.

Breidablik, comfortably the top scorers in the Icelandic top flight with 36 goals from 15 games, moved up to third in the table at the weekend and they are once again expected to line up in a 4-3-3 formation.

Goalscorer Odds

Ramirez has been the main man for Aberdeen in the early part of the season and can be backed at 7/2 to get the opener, 11/10 to score or 4/1 to find the net in a Dons victory.

The American scored twice in the first leg and is 11/2 to bag at least a double, with Ferguson available at 4/1 and 13/10 in the first and any-time markets.

Hoskuldur Gunnlaugsson scored twice at the weekend for Breidablik and is 28/1 to open the scoring or 10/1 to get on the scoresheet in our Aberdeen v Breidablik betting tips.

Gisli Eyjolfsson and Arni Vilhjálmsson scored in the first leg and are 5/1 and 3/1 respectively to repeat the trick or 14/1 and 9/1 to break the deadlock.
