Brendan Rodgers is the Ladbrokes Premiership Manager of the Month

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has been named the Ladbrokes Premiership Manager of the Month for August following a run of three straight victories to open his Hoops account.

The Northern Irishman has enjoyed a stellar first month in charge at Parkhead with his side top of the table and through to the Group Stages of the Champions League.

Celtic opened up their league campaign with a 2-1 victory at Hearts and followed that up with wins against St. Johnstone and Aberdeen to head into the international break with a 100 per cent record.

And that winning run has been rightly rewarded by the league sponsors.
