Brentford v Leicester betting tips: Flying Foxes face Bees battle

Brentford v Leicester betting tips and odds

One of the most fascinating Premier League matches this weekend takes place in west London where Brentford host revitalised Leicester on Sunday afternoon.

The Foxes ran out comfortable 4-2 winners against Manchester United last Saturday and Zambian striker Patson Daka scored four goals on Wednesday in a stunning 4-3 comeback win at Spartak Moscow in a Europa League group game.

There is a hair’s breadth between the teams in the odds so let’s look at some of the options in our Brentford v Leicester betting tips.

Match Odds

Leicester remain in the bottom half of the table despite Saturday’s thrilling win against United but they will move into the top 10 with a victory which is priced at 33/20.

The Bees have shown absolutely no respect to the traditional top-six sides on home territory in their first season in the top flight since the 1940s.

They beat Arsenal 2-0, shared a thrilling 3-3 draw with Liverpool and only a spectacular goalkeeping display from Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy denied them at least a draw last weekend.

Brentford are 13/8 to beat Leicester but picking a winner looks a tough call for Sunday’s game, so 23/10 on a draw seems a reasonable option as one of our Brentford v Leicester betting tips.

Both teams have scored in the last four games involving Leicester, who conceded exactly twice in all of those matches, so we go 7/5 on the Bees finding the net at least twice.

We are also drawn towards both teams to score and over 2.5 goals at 6/5 but adding either team to win in that market increases the odds slightly to 13/8.

Three of Leicester’s last six matches have involved both teams scoring in the first half and that option is available at 18/5.

Talking Tactics

Brendan Rodgers made just two changes from Saturday’s win against the Red Devils for the trip to Moscow but he must decide whether to include Daka, who also scored as a sub last weekend.

Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho led the line in a 3-4-1-2 formation with James Maddison playing just behind, so Rodgers may be reluctant to tinker with a winning formula.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank also likes to play three at the back in a 3-5-2 in which Ivan Toney and Bryan Mbeumo lead the line.

Goalscorer Odds

Vardy scored what turned out to be the winning goal last weekend and having been rested for the game in Moscow, he is 4/1 to break the deadlock or 13/8 to find the net.

Toney is the favourite at 7/2 and 6/4 in the two markets despite netting just twice this season.

Iheanacho and Daka are 5/1 and 21/10 in the two options while Maddison is 8/1 and 3/1. Daka can also be backed at 14/1 to score at least twice this weekend in Sunday’s Brentford v Leicester betting tips.

Mbeumo is 11/2 to break the deadlock or 11/5 having gone close on several occasions against Chelsea.
