Brighton v Leeds betting tips: Potter looks to work magic again

Brighton v Leeds betting tips and odds
Brighton host Leeds on Saturday afternoon looking to get their season back on track having failed to win any of their last seven games.
The Seagulls lost 2-0 last weekend in Steven Gerrard’s first game in charge of Aston Villa while Leeds’ three-game unbeaten run ended at Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.
The hosts are 21/20 to beat injury-hit United in Saturday’s televised late game but let’s look at some of the other available options for our Brighton v Leeds betting tips.
Match Odds
Brighton went third after their 2-1 win against Leicester in September and had the chance to top the table when they travelled to rivals Crystal Palace.
But the 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park was the start of a winless streak, although they later drew 2-2 at Liverpool in a game they could have won.
Leeds were without Raphinha, Patrick Bamford, Rodrigo and Luke Ayling for Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at Tottenham but were deservedly leading at the break only for Spurs to up the tempo in the second half as they ran out deserved winners.
United’s bench looks worryingly thin and they were forced to start with teenage striker Joe Gelhardt in north London at the weekend, so Marcelo Bielsa has his hands full ahead of the game.

Albion won both matches without conceding last season and are 13/5 to win to nil again or a victory and under 3.5 match goals is available at 9/5 in our Brighton v Leeds betting tips.
Leeds have been struggling for goals in the two-month absence of Bamford with an ankle injury and have scored exactly once in six of their last eight games, so we go 6/4 on the visitors scoring just one goal.
Both teams have drawn five of their 12 games which can be backed at 12/5 and 1-1 is 11/2 while a share of the spoils and under 2.5 match goals is 10/3.
Talking Tactics
Albion boss Graham Potter went with his favoured 3-5-2 last weekend, with Adam Lallana accompanying Leandro Trossard in attack and Neal Maupay still warming the bench.
Shane Duffy was at the heart of a three-man defence at Villa Park, with Lewis Dunk and Adam Webster either side.

On top of Leeds’ injury concerns, Jamie Shackleton is getting closer to being fit while Junior Firpo made his return off the bench in a 3-3-3-1 system in which Kalvin Phillips played at centre-back.
Goalscorer Odds
Of the likely starters, Trossard is the 9/2 favourite to break the deadlock or 9/5 to score having found the net in two of his last three appearances.
With Lallana playing in an advanced role at Villa Park, the former Liverpool midfielder looks an interesting option at 17/2 and 16/5 in the two markets in our Brighton v Leeds betting tips.
Gelhardt is 11/2 to score the game’s first goal and 23/10 to find the net while Dan James is 8/1 to draw first blood as he did at Tottenham or 3/1 to bag his second goal since signing from Manchester United.
