With the British Grand Prix less than a week away, Ladbrokes takes a closer look at the four British F1 drivers hoping to seal their home race with a win.

Since the turn of the millennium, the British Grand Prix has been won by a Brit 10 times - with Lewis Hamilton claiming nine of those wins - so the stage is set for a new man to make history on July 6.

Whether it's race-favourite Lando Norris or 750/1 underdog Ollie Bearman, a new driver could have their moment at Silverstone. So without further ado, let's meet the British F1 drivers competing at the 2025 British Grand Prix.

The British F1 Drivers taking to the track this weekend

Lando Norris

Having picked up his third win of the season in Austria last time out, Lando Norris comes into the British Grand Prix as the favourite, just ahead of his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri.

The 25-year-old has made the podium at Silverstone in each of the last two years, but has always been pipped to the post. This year however, he has emerged as a real contender to win the 2025 World Championship, and will see this as the perfect opportunity to pick up that elusive home-race victory.

Norris would become the 12th Brit to win the British Grand Prix, and only the third to lift the trophy since the turn of the millennium.

George Russell

The only man (apart from Max Verstappen) to win a race this year for someone other than McLaren, George Russell has had a decent season so far, claiming five podiums and representing Mercedes well in the driver's standings.

His British GP didn't end how he would've hoped last year, with the Brit being forced to retire early in a race that he had previously led from pole.

The memory of the water system issue that ended his day will surely spur Russell on this time around, with the 27-year-old finding himself within touching distance of Verstappen in the standings. Can 2025 be the year he gets his name on the exclusive list of Silverstone winners?

Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton doesn't need much of an introduction around these parts, with the 2024 British GP seeing him break the F1 record for most wins at a single circuit (9 wins).

The British icon is yet to win a race - or even make the podium - in the colours of Ferrari, so it would be something of a surprise to see him lift the trophy on Sunday 6 July, but with such an affinity to the track and the home crowd roaring him on, he will be well up for the challenge.

Hamilton has taken the chequered flag in eight of the last 11 races at Silverstone, and hadn't won a race last season before the British GP, only for the Mercedes man to do the business. Is history going to repeat itself here?

Oliver Bearman

Enjoying his first season as a full-time Formula One driver, Ollie Bearman takes to the Silverstone track for the very first time (in a competitive F1 race), representing Haas alongside Esteban Ocon.

Bearman is very much an underdog heading into this one, with the 20-year-old currently priced at 750/1, and having never made the podium in F1, he will have to pull off a real shock to change his fortunes this weekend.

A race win would see Bearman become the second youngest driver to ever win a grand prix, and the youngest driver to ever take the flag at Sliverstone. He isn't fancied, but his potential is not to be sniffed at, and could help him make history this weekend.
