BTTS Acca: Man City to score and concede
Published:
Both teams to score tips for Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s Premier League action.
Our BTTS acca column is back ahead of the return of Premier League action this weekend, featuring picks for Man City v Newcastle, Tottenham v Man United and Burnley v Luton.
Man City are looking to move into second place on Saturday afternoon when they travel to St James Park to face a Newcastle side who lost 4-2 to Liverpool during their last Premier League game.
We’re picking the game as part out of BTTS acca, which can be backed with Ladbrokes at the price of 5/1, featuring four of the five Premier League games on offer this weekend.

Burnley & Luton both to score
The Premier League kicks off on Friday night with a game between Luton and Burnley, both of whom are fighting to remain in England’s top flight come next season.
While both find themselves in the relegation zone, Luton and Burnley have begun to play much better football over the last month or so, and Vincent Kompany and Rob Edwards will see tonight’s game as a great opportunity to pick up three points.
As such, we’re predicting that both teams will come out and play attacking football, which is why we’re picking BTTS at the price of 8/11 in this one.
Newcastle & Man City both to score
Man City beat Newcastle when the two sides met in the Premier League back in August, at the score of 1-0. Newcastle then returned the favour the following month by beating the Cityzens 1-0 to knock them out of the third-round of the Carabao Cup.
Despite the fact that a BTTS bet in their last two games would have failed to come in, we’re picking the game for our acca this weekend, and a lot of that has to do with the shaky defences of both sides right now.
Newcastle are fresh off conceding four goals to Liverpool on New Years Day, conceding more xG than any other team in Premier League history in a single game since records began. City have also been less solid at the back this campaign, conceding more goals than rivals Liverpool and Arsenal, and only six fewer than Aston Villa, who sit above them in second.
We’re predicting goals galore in this one, and as such, we’re adding the game to our BTTS acca at the price of 4/6.

Everton & Aston Villa both to score
Speaking of Villa, Unai Emery’s side sit in second place in the Premier League, and despite the fact Everton are just outside of the relegation zone in 17th, Sunday’s game won’t be easy for the surprise title challengers.
Therefore, we’re also backing this game for our BTTS acca, at the price of 4/11. Everton’s place in the league doesn’t tell the full story, and they’ve be considerably higher up the league had they not been deducted ten points for financial wrongdoing.
Everton, particularly at Goodison Park, are a hard team to play against, and Villa’s form has dropped off somewhat after their wins over Arsenal and City last month, explaining why we’ve pegged this one as one that both teams will score in.
Man United & Tottenham both to score
The final game in our acca sees Tottenham travel to Old Trafford for their second game of the season against Man United, and we’re predicting that both teams are going to walk away having scored, at the price of 4/11.
While Spurs kept a clean sheet the first time the two sides met, mainly due to injuries, Ange Postecoglu’s side doesn’t look nearly as strong as it did then, so we’re predicting that Erik Ten Hag’s side will score at least once.
Also, despite being without Heung-min Son, Spurs have been playing some seriously attractive attacking football this campaign, explaining why they’re also worth a punt to score.
