Burnley v Palace betting tips and odds

Palace moved into the top half of the table two weeks ago as they extended their unbeaten record to six games with a 2-0 victory over Wolves.

The Eagles beat champions Manchester City and drew with both Leicester and Arsenal during that spell, so they start as slight 8/5 favourites to win at Turf Moor on Saturday.

Sean Dyche’s side remain in the relegation zone but have lost just one of their last six games as we look at some of the other markets in our Burnley v Palace betting tips.

Match Odds

Patrick Vieira feels Palace are starting to show their “potential” after moving up to 10th thanks to second-half goals from Wilfried Zaha and Conor Gallagher in the win against Wolves.

Both players also scored in the 2-0 win at Manchester City, so we go 16/5 on the visitors winning to nil for a third time, but Burnley seem to have turned the corner having ended their winless start to the campaign in a 3-1 victory over Brentford which they followed with a 1-1 draw at leaders Chelsea.

The Clarets have now drawn four of their last six games and are priced at 21/10 for another share of the spoils, with goals thrown into the equation available at 13/4.

However, Burnley have beaten Palace without conceding in their last three encounters and can be backed at 9/5 for a fourth victory or 7/2 for a win to nil.

The Clarets have kept just one clean sheet this season, so that scenario would appear unlikely as we go 20/23 on goals at both ends in our Burnley v Palace betting tips.

Palace have the fourth best second-half record in the Premier League (W6 D2 L3), but Burnley have the second worst (W1 D4 L6) and with that in mind we make the visitors 19/10 to score the most goals after the break.

The Eagles have been trailing at the break in four of their five away games, so we go Burnley HT/Draw FT or Burnley HT/Palace FT at 14/1 or 33/1 respectively.

Talking Tactics

Burnley boss Dyche will utilise his usual 4-4-2 system on Saturday when Chris Wood is once again expected to be accompanied up front by Maxwel Cornet with Ashley Westwood, Josh Brownhill, Dwight McNeil and Johann Gudmundsson in midfield.

Ben Mee and James Tarkowski should line up in the heart of defence for a third successive game.

Vieira likes to play a 4-3-3 formation and made Christian Benteke the focal point in a three-pronged Palace attack against Wolves supported by Zaha and Odsonne Edouard.

Gallagher made his England debut from off the bench against San Marino and he will start on the right side of midfield on Saturday.

Goalscorer Odds

Wood scored the only goal in last season’s fixture and is 9/2 favourite to strike first or 15/8 in the anytime market, while Cornet is 11/2 and 12/5 having bagged four times in his last five appearances.

Gudmundsson opened the scoring in last season’s 3-0 win at Selhurst Park and is 12/1 to get the ball rolling again, while Mee and Tarkowski are available at 11/1 and 14/1 to find the net in our Burnley v Palace betting tips.

Zaha is 11/2 to break the deadlock for a third successive game or 23/10 to breach Burnley’s defence, while Gallagher is 15/2 and 3/1 in the two markets.

Edouard and Benteke can be backed at 5/1 and 11/2 as a first goalscorer option or 9/4 and 5/2 anytime.
