With the audition stage complete and the bootcamp underway, we’re edging ever closer to finding out the winner of X Factor 2017.

Expect shocks, surprises and a star to be born as the show rumbles towards its December conclusion.

The only constant so far has been the presence of 9/4 shot Grace Davies at the top of the betting.

After starting the series at 6/1, the warehouse assistant from Blackburn now looks even more likely to send her opponents packing. With such an incredible price we don’t think odds of 9/4 will be around for long.

Her nearest challengers are duo Sean & Conor Price at 11/2.

They may be more bearable than 2008 twosome Jedward, but after a disappointing showing on Saturday night, they may hold just as little chance of winning the competition.

Teenage pub singer Holly Tandy is slightly further back at 7/1.

Her cover of Harry Styles’ hit Sign of the Times saw her sail through to the next round where she’ll be joined by boyband Rak-Su.

The four-piece sing their own songs and have an infectious charisma between the quartet that makes them dangerous opponents to any would be winner.

At 9/1, we’re backing Rak-Su to continue to woo the judges.

A whole host of names then pop up at 14/1, With Deanna, Matt Linnen and The CutKelvins all still in with a chance.

It’s the latter that get our nod of approval – and not just because they’ve got the best name in the competition.

The threesome have some serious pedigree in their ranks.

Did you know youngster member of the group Sheeran had a top-10 hit with girl group Neon Jungle?

We did, but then we love mid-2010s girl group music.

The remainder are all 16/1 or greater, although you can still get 200/1 on rank outsider Elisangela Mahogany causing one of the biggest upsets in ITV reality-show history.

What a claim to fame that’d be, eh?
