Carabao Cup 2024/25 outright winner odds

Labrokes looks at the outright winner odds for the 2024/25 Carabao Cup, with Liverpool still the odds-on front-runners to win the competition ahead of this weekend's final.

Liverpool continued their defence of the Carabao Cup when they played Tottenham in the semi-finals of the competition. Despite losing their first-leg 1-0 in North London, the Reds won the second-leg 4-0 at Anfield and are odds-on to win the tournament.

Newcastle, on the other hand, are seen as the underdogs heading into the final with Liverpool, despite being Arsenal 2-0 both home and away across the two legs in January and Feburary.

Liverpool were drawn against Tottenham away in the semi-final after beating West Ham, Brighton and Southampton in the third, fourth and quarter-final rounds respectively.

Despite going into that game at a 1-0 disadvantage, the bookies still viewed the Reds as the favourites for the competition, which they showed with their second-leg performance was was warranted.

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool shocked the world by beating Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley Stadium to win the Carabao Cup in February 2024, despite having some of their best players out with injuries, and Ladbrokes think they're the side best positioned to do it again this weekend.

Liverpool are the heavy favourites to win this year's competition, despite Newcastle's impressive semi-final showing.

The day after the semi-final, Liverpool were handed over a 80% shot of winning the Carabao Cup final this year by the bookies, with Newcastle very much seen as the underdogs.

The final will be played at Wembley Stadium on March 16 and represents the first opportunity for clubs in England to get their hands on some silverware for the season.

The Reds will be hoping that winning the Carabao Cup is the start of a historic end to the season for them, with one of England's most-decorated clubs on track to complete a 'mini treble' if things continue to go the way that they have been, with the odds suggesting there's an outside chance of that happening.
