Borussia Dortmund's 2024/25 Champions League starting 11
Dortmund's starting 11 for the UCL campaign sees Gregor Kobel starting in goal, with defence consisting of four of Ramy Bensebaini, Waldemar Anton, Nico Schlotterbeck, Niklas Sule, Julian Ryerson and Yan Couto ahead of him.
Supporting them in midfield should be new signing Pascal Groß, Felix Nmecha and either Emre Can, Julian Brandt or Marcel Sabitzer.
As for the front three, that's where Dortmund's insane attacking talent gets to shine, with Maximillian Beier, Serhou Guirassy, Jamie Gittens, Karim Adeyemi and Donyell Malen competing for places.
Borussia Dortmund's Champions League odds
Ladbrokes has given Borussia Dortmund less than a 2% chance of winning the Champions League at the end of the season, with the bookies clearly feeling that the German side aren't one of the favourites, despite their most recent campaign.
To put things into context, the bookies have given Dortmund the worst odds of all eight teams left in the competition. Instead, the front-runner for the competition is PSG , who are the most exciting team in world football right now.
Borussia Dortmund's Champions League fixtures
Dortmund's Champions League campaign for the 2024/25 season kicked off in Belgium on September 18 against Club Brugge, with that game ending in a 3-0 away win. It came before a home game against Celtic the following month on October 1, which saw the Germans win 7-1.
Former manager Nuri Sahin said before the draw that he wanted to face one of his former clubs in the UCL, and he got his wish, as an away game in Spain against Real Madrid took place on October 22. Despite leading 2-0, the German side slumped to a disappointing 4-2 loss, with Vinicius Jr. scoring a hat-trick.
Match day four saw Dortmund at home again, this time beating Sturm Graz 1-0 on November 5. Dinamo Zagreb then hosted Dortmund in the penultimate UCL game of 2024, with that fixture taking place on November 27 and ending in a 3-0 win for the German side.
The final game of 2024 in the UCL was a tricky one for Dortmund, as the German side lost 3-2 to another Europe's biggest clubs, this time in the form of Barcelona at home on December 11.
Things in the Champions League resumed for Dortmund in 2025 with a 2-1 loss to Bologna on January 21 in Italy. That came before a 3-1 home win against Shakhtar Donetsk seven days later.

After beating Sporting Lisbon 3-0 across two legs in the Champions League playoff round to move on to the round of 16, Dortmund beat Lille 3-2 on aggregate to progress to their quarter-final tie against Barcelona.
