Champions League 24/25: Inter Milan squad, starting 11 and odds

Now the 2024/25 season has started, Ladbrokes takes you through Inter Milan's Champions League squad, their chances of winning the competition and what their starting XI has looked like.

Inter Milan came close to winning the Champions League for the first time since 2010 in 2023, losing out in the final to Manchester City after a hard-fought game.

The Italian giants are raring to go one again. Having established themselves as comfortably the best side in their own league, Inter want to prove that they're also one of the teams in Europe.

With all that said, Ladbrokes takes you through Inter Milan's squad for the current Champions League campaign, what their starting line-up has looked like, and their odds winning the competition.

Below is the squad that Inter Milan have taken into the 2024/25 Champions League season. The Italian have, to their credit, made a few impressive free agent additions to add to their squad from last year.

The ever-reliable Yann Sommer continues in goal for Inter Milan, with the three defenders of a combination of Benjamin Pavard, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni, Yann Bisseck and Francesco Acerbi ahead of them.

The wing-backs continue to be the explosive Ferderico Dimarco and Denzel Dumfries, with Matteo Darmian able to fill in as and when needed.

It's been more of the same for Inter Milan in the middle of the park two, with Nicola Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan likely starting, with Piotr Zieliński able to come in if required as well.

As for the front two, expect Marcus Thuram and club captain Lautaro Martinez to usually start for Inter Milan, with former Porto striker Mehdi Taremi also able to be a goal threat if called upon by the manager.

Liverpool are the favourites to win the Champions League this season, with shorter odds than Inter Milan and several of Europe's other top clubs.

Inter have shoter odds than the likes of Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid, but are seen as less likely than the likes of Bayern Munich and Liverpool to win the competition, with the bookies giving them just shy of an 8% chance of winning the continent's top club competition come May.

Inter Milan kicked off their 2024/25 Champions League campaign in one of the hardest ways possible, with an away tie against Man City on September 18. The game ended 0-0, which the Italian side will likely have been quite happy with.

Things did get slightly easier though, as in their next game on October 1 they beat Red Star Belgarde 4-0 at home. On October 23, they played Young Boys away in another game they should have expecting to win, but the Italian giants had to rely on a late goal from Marcus Thuram to secure a 1-0 victory.

After that, Inter played another of England's biggest sides in the form of Arsenal at home on November 6, winning that 1-0, before they hosted RB Leipzig on November 26, also winning that 1-0.

The sixth game of Inter Milan's 'league phase' saw them face another of Germany's top clubs, this time narrowly losing 1-0 away to Bayer Leverkusen on December 10.

Inter concluded their league games in 2025 with an away 1-0 win against Sparta Prague on January 22, before they beat Monaco 3-0 at home the week later on January 29.

Inter Milan then made light work of Feyenoord in the round of 16, beating the Dutch side 4-1 on aggregate, to progress to the quarter-final where they'll face Bayern Munich.
