Champions League 24/25: PSG squad, starting 11 and odds
Published:Now the 2024/25 season has started, Ladbrokes takes you through PSG's Champions League squad, their chances of winning the competition and what their starting 11 has been.
Despite all the top signings that PSG have made since their takeover over a decade ago, the French club have yet to win the Champions League, only reaching the final in 2020.
It was the semi-final that PSG got to last year, and that was with Kylian Mbappe in their ranks, with the Frenchman now plying his trade for Real Madrid in Spain.
With all that said, Ladbrokes takes you through PSG's squad for the current Champions League campaign, what their starting line-up has looked like, and their odds winning the competition.
PSG's 2024/25 Champions League squad
Below is the squad that PSG have taken into the Champions League campaign, with Mbappe obviously no longer able to be called upon by Luis Enrique and his coaching staff.
- Gianluigi Donnarumma, Matvey Safonov, Arnau Tenas
- Achraf Hakimi, Presnel Kimpembe, Marquinhos (c), Lucas Hernandez, Nuno Mendes, Lucas Beraldo, Milan Skriniar, Yoram Zague, Willian Pacho
- Fabian Ruiz, Desire Doue, Vitinha, Lee Kang-in, Senny Mayulu, Warren Zaire-Emery, Joao Neves
- Goncalo Ramos, Ousmane Dembele, Marcos Asensio, Randal Kolo Muani, Bradley Barcola, Ibrahim Mbaye
PSG's 2024/25 Champions League starting 11
Despite only being 25, Gianluigi Donnarumma has so much experience playing in European competitions, so it's no surprise that he's continued to start as PSG's goalkeeper for the season.
Achraf Hakimi should play at right-back, with Nuno Mendes on the opposite flank. The centre-backs have been Marquinhos and Willian Pacho, but Presnel Kimpembe may begin to feature more now that he's back from injury.
In Vitinha, Warren Zaire-Emery and new signing Joao Neves, PSG have one of the most exciting midfield trios in all of world football, but some are surprised that Fabian Ruiz hasn't featured more considering how strong he was at Euro 2024.
The front-three has been difficult to predict, with Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembele playing on the wings, with one of Marco Asensio, Kang-In Lee and Goncalo Ramos starting as the striker, with Enrique seeming not to favour Randal Kolo Muani.
PSG's Champions League odds
PSG aren't the favourites to win the Champions League come May 2025, with the bookies pricing Liverpool as the front-runners in the latest odds.
The bookies have PSG with a less than 8% chance of lifting the prestigious trophy next year, with similar odds to the likes of Man City and the same chance as Inter Milan.
PSG's Champions League fixtures
PSG kicked off their 2024/25 Champions League campaign in France with a 1-0 win over Girona, but their second game is a lot tricker.
On October 1, PSG traveled to London to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in what had all the makings of a top European contest, but ended in an easy 2-0 win for the Gunners. After that, on October 22, PSG were back in France playing against PSV, with that game ending in a 1-1 draw.
Atletico Madrid then had to travelled to PSG in match day four on November 6, with the Spanish side winning 2-1. That came before another difficult game for PSG, this time against Bayern Munich away from home, on November 26, which ended in a 1-0 loss.
It was trip to Austria to face RB Salzburg that wrapped up PSG's 2024 Champions League games, with that ending in a much-needed 3-0 win for the French side.
That was only their second victory of the Champions League this season, and it came before the competition continued in 2025 with with a thrilling 4-2 win against Man City at home on January 22.
That, in turn, took place seven days before they beat Stuttgart 4-1 away from home on January 29.
