Chelsea now 7/2 to sign Thomas Muller
Published:
Chelsea are reportedly considering a move for Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller when the transfer window reopens in January.
Diego Costa is AWOL so Antonio Conte doesn’t have a proven alternative to Alvaro Morata up front.
Our traders believe there could be something in this one and the Blues are 7/2 to be Muller’s next club.
Juventus are favourites to clinch the World Cup winner’s signature at 3/1.
Muller is understood to be unhappy with his role at the Allianz Arena under Carlo Ancelotti. He is no longer an automatic first-choice, as Thiago Alcantara has been preferred behind Robert Lewandowski.
The Germany international only scored five league goals in the Bundesliga last season, his lowest tally since breaking into Bayern’s first-team squad.
Despite last season’s poor return, the 27-year-old would be in huge demand if he was on the market.
As well as Chelsea, there is further Premier League interest from Arsenal at 6/1. Liverpool and Manchester United are both priced at 8/1.
Juventus – 3/1
Chelsea – 7/2
Arsenal – 6/1
Liverpool – 8/1
Manchester United – 8/1
Manchester City – 10/1
Real Madrid – 16/1
Barcelona – 20/1
Paris Saint-Germain – 20/1
