Cheltenham; Un De Sceaux ridden by Ruby Walsh wins the Racing Post Arkle Challenge Trophy Chase Grade 1.

Majborough has become the favourite to win this year's Arkle Challenge Trophy according to Ladbrokes' latest Cheltenham Festival 2025 odds.

Following the news that Sir Gino will miss the rest of the season, the bookies slashed Majborough's odds from 5/4 to just 8/15 on a second successive Cheltenham win, this time in the Arkle.

Elsewhere, L'Eau du Sud is now 7/2 with the bookies - having been 9/1 last month, while Ballyburn (6/1) and Jango Baie (7/1) are currently the only other names priced shorter than 10/1.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Sir Gino's news has completely shaken up this year's betting... and having been a 3/1 shot this time last week, Majborough now finds himself as short as 8/15 to join the likes as El Fabiolo and Gaelic Warrior as an Arkle champ."

The bookies have given Majborough an assumed probability of over 50% to win the Arkle at this year's Cheltenham Festival, so it very much seems like victory could be on the horizon.
