The favourite for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham Festival 2025, Kopek Des Bordes, has had his odds cut further by Ladbrokes.

After a star-making performance in the Ireland Novice Hurdle on Sunday, the bookies slashed his odds from 12/1 to 7/4.

And his odds have kept shortening, with the Willie Mullins-trained gelding now 5/4 to win the first race of the Cheltenham Festival.

Fellow Mullins runner Karniquet’s odds for the Supreme Novices’ were cut from 33/1 to 14/1 after a good showing in coming second to Kopek Des Bordes at Leopardstown, while former favourite Salvator Mundi has drifted to 6/1 from 3/1.

Cal Gildart of Ladbrokes said: “He roared home at Leopardstown in dominant fashion, and Kopek Des Bordes’ odds of winning the Cheltenham curtain-raiser just keep falling. Does Willie Mullins have another superstar on his hands?”
