Cheltenham Festival 2025 tips: Bookies reveal punters' 10 most popular horses
Published:
Cheltenham Festival 2025 kicks off on March 11, and ahead of the Roar Ladbrokes have revealed the 10 most popular horses with punters.
It’s perhaps no surprise that more people are supporting Galopin Des Champs than any other horse. Willie Mullins’ 1/2 favourite for a third straight Gold Cup triumph is one of the so-called Big 4 alongside Constitution Hill (8/13 for the Champion Hurdle), Teahupoo (evens in the Stayers’) and Jonbon (5/6 for the Champion Chase), and the others all feature in the top 10.

However, Ladbrokes punters’ second-most popular horse is Salvator Mundi, 6/1 third-favourite for the Stayers’ Hurdle. In fact, The New Lion (13/8 in the Turners Novices’) and East India Dock (2/1 favourite for the Triumph) make up the top five, with Jonbon seventh in the popularity charts.
Cal Gildart of Ladbrokes said: “There’s nothing like Cheltenham for bringing together racing obsessives and casual fans, and they’ve been united in their support for Galopin Des Champs. With almost every one of the 10 most popular horses a favourite, we’ll be hoping for a few upsets!”
Rounding out the top 10 are three favourites: Ballyburn (5/4 Brown Advisory), Fact To File (7/4 Ryanair Chase) and Kopek Des Bordes (4/5 Supreme Novices’).
