Dan Skelton expects Valgrand to go well in Cheltenham bumper
Published:
Top trainer and Ladbrokes ambassador Dan Skelton has three more runners at Cheltenham on Saturday and he gave us the lowdon on their chances of success.
If the ground is soft enough, he has got numbers to find with the top two or three rated horses. We go here reasonable about our expectations but his chance of running depends upon the ground.

It is a race we have had in mind for him all year. He has won at the track before and the handicapper was quite hard on him for two victories last autumn, so we have to see how we compete off this mark.
He is a nice new horse for us who runs in the bumper. He has got a sire I really like in Bathyrhon. I liked his work at home and I think he will run nicely in this race. It is a big statement to say you think you should be one of the favourites in any bumper let alone a Cheltenham one. Although I am not quite saying that, I do think he will run very well.
