Ladbrokes ambassador and leading trainer Dan Skelton delivered with namesake Langer Dan in the Coral Cup on Wednesday and here he discusses the prospects of his two runners on the third day of the Cheltenham Festival.

Unexpected Party – 1.30 Turners Novices’ Chase

Unexpected Party, Dan Skelton, horse racing

Unexpected Party didn’t get in the Grand Annual which is highly frustrating. He is in this race now and I do think he will outrun his odds. He has so much to find on numbers with the principles but if we can pinch some prize money that would be great.

Midnight River – 4.10 Magners Plate Handicap Chase

This has been his target since he won here on New Year’s Day and he is in great form. He will love the ground, and the trip and track are ideal. There is a lot to like about his chances and I think he will run very well.
