Dortmund v Bayern Munich Betting Tips: Who’ll win Der Klassiker?

Published:
Robert Lewandowski - Bayern Munich

Football fans are in for a treat this evening as Borussia Dortmund play host to Bayern Munich in a table-topping Der Klassiker at Signal Iduna Park, live on BT Sport.

Both sides have won two from two since the Bundesliga returned, and three points for either tonight could go a long way to deciding the fate of the title.

Success for Bayern would put them seven points clear at the summit while Dortmund, who are 5/1 for a first championship since 2012, would cut the gap at the top to just a single point.

Match Odds

Dortmund may boast the division’s best home record but that hasn’t stopped our traders installing away day specialists Bayern as the odds-on 10/11 favourites.

Hans Flick’s men have struggled in this part of the Ruhr over the last couple of seasons, however, losing 2-3 in 2018 and then 0-2 in 2019.

The hosts are 5/2 to make that a hat-trick of defeats for the visitors, while it’s 17/20 about Dortmund or Draw in our Double Chance market. The Draw by itself is available at 29/10.

It’s also worth noting that this fixture has produced an average of over four goals per game in its last seven iterations. Dortmund to Win and Over 3.5 Goals is chalked up here at 11/2.

Talking Tactics

BvB boss Lucien Favre looks set to stick with the same XI that beat Wolfsburg at the weekend, although the Frenchman is sweating on the fitness of centre-back Mats Hummels.

Elsewhere, Emre Can could come in for Thomas Delaney, while Jadon Sancho is pushing for a start in a front three that looks certain to include Julian Brandt and Erling Haaland. Axel Witsel may also return.

Bayern are also unlikely to make any changes from their weekend defeat of Eintracht Frankfurt, with Jerome Boateng expected to recover from a hip injury to partner David Alaba.

Thiago does however remain a doubt, which means Joshua Kimmich will operate in front of the back four.

Goalscorer Odds

Haaland and Robert Lewandowski have 78 club goals between them this season – that’s more than the individual tally of every other team in the Bundesliga.

Dortmund’s Norwegian hitman is 23/20 to find the net Anytime tonight, with Lewandowski slightly shorter at 2/3. And with those prices in mind, it could be beneficial to look elsewhere.

Leon Goretzka has three goals in his last four league matches and is 3/1 Anytime, while Raphael Guerreiro has three in his last two and is available at 12/1 to Score First for the second match in a row.

Elsewhere, Benjamin Pavard has showed plenty of interest in going forward against both Eintracht and Union Berlin. He’s 7/1 Anytime tonight.
