Dublin could be Barney’s big night: Dutchman features twice in 50/1 acca

We’ve already seen two players exit this year’s PDC Premier League, and as we head into the business end of the competition it’s all to play for.

Just three points separate Michael van Gerwen in top spot and Phil Taylor down in sixth, with a whole host of big names finding form at the perfect time.

And this week’s Dublin crowd will surely be treated to some scintillating action on the oche as each player looks to secure a spot in the top four.

So what better way to add even more excitement to Night 10 than with a 50/1 four-fold?

Raymond van Barneveld to beat Phil Taylor

Barney has been one of the best players in the Premier League in recent weeks, while The Power has proved he’s by no means a formidable force anymore.

This is the first of two fixtures for the Dutchman in Dublin, and he’ll be looking to get his night off to a flier against Taylor who – all credit to him – has fought hard in the last few weeks to give himself a chance of making the cut.

We reckon RVB should have enough in his locker to get the better of his old rival and exact revenge for a defeat way back on Night Four.

Raymond van Barneveld to beat James Wade

And were Barney to get the better of Taylor, we reckon that’d set him up nicely to make in two wins in as many weeks against Wade.

The Machine has struggled for consistency so far this season and has actually won just one of his last six matches.

A 7-2 win for Van Barneveld in Cardiff against Wade last week will certainly give him the psychological edge over his opponent here.

Peter Wright to win 1^st leg v Dave Chisnall

Snakebite sat out of last week’s proceedings after his opponent (Kim Huybrechts) was forced to withdraw through family reasons.

But he’ll want to come back with a bang in Ireland as he faces Chizzy.

Impressively, Wright has won four of eight opening legs in the Premier League so far this year, and has had the darts to win two more.

In short, he tends to come out the traps flying, while Chisnall has lost six of nine opening legs this season. There’s certainly value in the 11/10 here.

Adrian Lewis to beat Gary Anderson

Here’s where the value really is.

Adrian Lewis has been pretty hit and miss so far this year. He’s beaten Phil Taylor and drawn with Michael van Gerwen, but he also struggled to get over the line against Jelle Klassen and dropped two points to James Wade.

But Jackpot was on fire last weekend at the Players Championship in Milton Keynes, defeating MVG en route to winning Sunday’s tournament.

What’s more, Lewis knows victory over Anderson would see him climb above The Flying Scotsman in the table.

This one really could go either way, as we reckon the pair are fairly evenly matched right now. With that in mind, we’re just too tempted by the 3/1 on Lewis winning.
