England 6/1 to play Germany at any stage in 2018 World Cup
Published:Ahead of Friday’s World Cup draw, our traders make it 6/1 for England to face Germany at any stage in Russia.
Both sides won their qualifying groups but as England are only in Pot Two, they could even be drawn in the same group.
However, England’s worst case scenario would see them drawn with Brazil, Sweden and Nigeria at 50/1.
Our traders have gone 66/1 for the Three Lions to get lucky and face Russia, Iran and Panama in the group stage.
Harry Kane will be central to England’s hopes and he’s 3/1 to score four or more group stage goals. It’s 9/2 for any England player to score a hat-trick.
If they get to the knockout stages, it’s 6/1 for them to suffer more penalty heartbreak. On the other hand, Gareth Southgate’s side are 7/1 to win a shootout.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “The whole country is eagerly awaiting this afternoon’s draw and all eyes will be on Pot One as England’s old enemy might just find themselves in Southgate’s group.”
