Euro 2020 winner and top goalscorer double odds: French stars in the frame
Published:
The European Championship is almost here and despite a few injury problems England remain the 9/2 co-favourites with France.
We have already examined potential champions in our Euro 2020 winner odds preview and players in the running for the Golden Boot but here we are looking at combining the two markets.
England to win the tournament and Harry Kane to bag the most goals is 16/1 in the Euro 2020 winner and top goalscorer double odds but which nation and player could produce the goods this summer?
England and Kane
Gareth Southgate led England to the World Cup semi-finals in 2018 and they qualified comfortably for Euro 2020 with seven wins from eight games.

England skipper Kane won the golden boot in Russia with six goals and he also top-scored in Euro 2020 qualifying with 12, bagging almost a third of the Three Lions’ goals.
The Tottenham striker won the Premier League Golden Boot for a third time with 23 goals as well, so his form over the last couple of years suggests he will be up there.
Belgium and Lukaku
Belgium, like England, have a reasonably easy group and should they finish top they will meet one of the four third-placed teams in the round of 16.
That could spell a meeting with either Germany, Portugal or France but they are more likely to face one of the lesser teams, so they could go deep into the tournament as they did at Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup.

— Belgian Red Devils (@BelRedDevils) June 7, 2021
The Red Devils were knocked out by Wales in the quarter-finals at Euro 2016 and three years ago reached the last four in Russia where Lukaku was the second highest scorer with four goals.
Lukaku bagged seven goals in qualifying and was second in the scoring charts with 24 in Inter Milan’s title-winning season, so we go 25/1 on the striker to be top scorer at Euro 2020 and for Belgium to win the tournament.
France and Mbappe/Benzema
France have the toughest group of all but remain co-favourites to add the European title to the world crown they won three years ago.
PSG striker Kylian Mbappe netted three goals from just four appearances in qualifying and bagged four at the 2018 World Cup while he was the top scorer in Ligue 1 for the third successive season.
Karim Benzema is back in the France squad after a five-and-a-half-year absence and only Lionel Messi scored more goals than the Real Madrid striker’s 23 in La Liga last season.
Best of the rest
Cristiano Ronaldo, now 36, is the joint top scorer in European Championship history alongside Michel Platini with nine goals and is 33/1 to lead the charts and for Portugal to make a successful title defence.
Kane to score the most goals and France to win the tournament is 40/1 while Antoine Griezmann to win the golden boot and Les Bleus to lift the Henri Delaunay Trophy is 66/1.
