Euro 2024 Player of the Tournament odds: Yamal the favourite

Lamine Yamal is the favourite with the bookies to be crowned Euro 2024 Player of the Tournament after his heroics for Spain against France.

Spain are the favourites to win their third European Championship this summer, securing a spot in the final with a 2-1 win over France. Luis de la Fuente's side actually went 1-0 down to the French, but a fantastic goal from Yamal in the first-half gave Spain a route back into the game.

Dani Olmo, who is one of the front-runners to win the Euro 2024 Golden Boot, then scored the winner to send Spain through to the final of Euro 2024, where they'll face either England or the Netherlands.

Leading the race is Yamal, with the Barcelona winger announcing to the world this summer that despite being a teenager, he's one of the best and most effective players in world football right now.

Rodri has been the backbone for Spain at Euro 2024, holding his side together and linking defence to attack, but part of the season the 2010 World Cup winners have been so good is because of the exciting wing play of Yamal and his partner, Nico Williams.

A high stakes game against France didn't prove to be too much for Yamal who scored a fantastic goal from outside the area to bring his nation back into the game.

Now he's in the final, Yamal will be given yet another chance to show that while he's also the future of the Spanish national side, he's still a player who can have a major impact right now.

The second favourite is Rodri (3/1), who has been just as important for Spain at Euro 2024 as he was for Man City in last season's Premier League campaign.

Rodri has been an incredibly important part of his side in both a defensive and offensive manner at Euro 2024, popping up with vital tackles and blocks, as well as showing off with some beautiful shots and passes.

Spain are the front-runners to win Euro 2024, so it's not surprising to see their star man which such short odds to end up as the Player of the Tournament.

Dani Olmo has only started two games for Spain at Euro 2024, including their final group stage game where the coaches opted to fully rotate the side, allowing the starters some much needed rest.

Despite that, Olmo will be starting the final for Spain, following the injury to Pedri, and has had such an impact for his national team off the bench and in the games that he has started that he's third in the running for the Euro 2024 Player of the Tournament.

He's tied with Cody Gakpo and others at the top of the scoring charts, with his winning strike against France, which sent Spain through to the final, being the most important of his three goals.

If Spain do end up winning Euro 2024, which they are favourites to do, don't be surprised to see Olmo given the honour of being awarded the competition's Player of the Tournament.

Making up the rest of the final five are Jude Bellingham and Fabian Ruiz, who are 8/1 and 6/1 respectively to win Euro 2024 Player of the Tournament, the bookies giving them a fair shot at being given the award on Sunday evening.

Also in the running are Jordan Pickford, Nico Williams, Bukayo Saka and Harry Kane, whose odds range from 12/1 to 25/1 as we enter the final few days of the tournament.
