Ahead of their 12:30pm kick off on Saturday, Ladbrokes takes you through every single player to have played for both Arsenal & Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Arsenal will host Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, hoping to pick up their first win in five games, with their last victory coming when they beat Brighton at home on December 17, which is over a month ago now.
So, ahead of the big fixture, let’s take a look at the six men who played for both Arsenal & Crystal Palace in the Premier League…
But before we do, one notable omission from the list is Ian Wright, who played 277 games for Crystal Palace and 288 for Arsenal, although none of his games at Selhurst Park came in the Premier League, hence why he’s not been included. Another is Rob Holding, who despite being a Palace player following his move from Arsenal in the summer, hasn’t actually played under Roy Hodgson in the Premier League, only playing once in the Carabao Cup.
Every player to have played for both Arsenal & Crystal Palace
Andy Linighan
Defender Andy Linighan started out his professional career at Hartlepool in 1980. He went on to play for Leeds, Oldham and Norwich before his move to Arsenal in 1990, where he ended up featuring in 91 games in the Premier League before he left for Crystal Palace in 1997, where he played 26 times in one season in England’s top-flight.
After a loan at QPR, Linighan left for Oxford United, before ending his career in 2001 with St Albans City. After his career came to an end, the Englishman quit football altogether, opening his own plumbing company.
Marouane Chamakh
When he joined Arsenal from Ligue 1 in 2010, fans of The Gunners had rather high hopes for Marouane Chamakh, but things didn’t exactly go to plan for the spiky-haired striker.
The Moroccan played 40 games in the Premier League for Arsenal, scoring just eight goals. He went on loan to West Ham, failing to score in any of his three league appearances, before quitting for Crystal Palace in a permanent deal.
During his time at Selhurst Park, Chamakh ended up playing 60 games and scoring seven goals. He joined in 2013 from Arsenal and stayed until 2016, before leaving for Cardiff City, his last club, where he played two games and failed to score.
Emmanuel Adebayor
Next up is Emmanuel Adebayor, arguably the best player to feature on this list.
He’s best known for his time at Arsenal, where he scored 46 Premier League goals in just over 100 games, but the striker also played for Real Madrid, North London rivals Tottenham, Manchester City and Crystal Palace, amongst other clubs.
After leaving Spurs in 2015, Adebayor joined Palace the following year, playing 12 Premier League games for the club, in which he scored one goal. The 6ft 3″ forward ended up moving to Turkey, Paraguay and his native Togo, and is currently without a club.
Yaya Sanogo
From one of Arsenal’s better strikes of the 21st century to one of the more forgotten ones, Yaya Sanogo joined The Gunners as a highly-rated youngster in 2013, playing 11 Premier League games in four years under Arsene Wenger, in which he failed to score, before returning to his homeland with Toulouse.
However, during his spell contracted to Arsenal, Sanogo was sent out on loan to Crystal Palace, where he played ten more games in the Premier League, also failing to score in any of those.
The French U21 international currently plays his football for Urartu in Armenia, a far cry from the world beater than Arsenal fans hoped he’d go on to become when they signed him 11 years ago.

Eddie McGoldrick
The first and only player on this list to have started with Crystal Palace before moving on to Arsenal is Eddie McGoldrick, who represented Ireland at the 1994 World Cup, with the midfielder playing a total of 15 games for his country across his career.
After playing for Kettering Town, Nuneaton Borough and Northampton Town, McGoldrick moved to Palace in 1988, playing 147 games for the club before leaving for Arsenal in 1993
For The Gunners, he featured in 38 games in the Premier League, failing to score in any of them. He then moved to Man City on loan in 1996, where his move was later. made permanent. He stayed in Manchester until 1999, where a move to Corby Town would be the last of his career.
Interestingly, McGoldrick remains with Palace to this day, serving as a coach in the academy since 2014.
Mathieu Flamini
Seen as one of the richest men in football history thanks to his work outside of the game, Mathieu Flamini played for both Arsenal and Crystal Palace in the Premier League during his time in football.
Flamini joined Arsenal in 2004, playing 102 games for the club during his first spell, before leaving for AC Milan in 2008.
After a five-year spell in Italy, Wenger brought the French midfielder, who has three international caps, back to the Emirates Stadium, where he played another 66 top-flight domestic games.
He left Arsenal in 2016, but Flamini’s time in England wasn’t over, and he went on to join Crystal Palace, where he played ten league games for the club, before finishing his career with Getafe in Spain in 2019.
Odds for Arsenal v Crystal Palace
While Arsenal are winless in their last four games in all competitions, last losing to Liverpool in the FA Cup third-round, Ladbrokes views them as the clear favourites in their match against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Unsurprisingly, many feel that Arsenal will simply have too much for Palace to handle on Saturday, and they’ve been priced accordingly at 3/10 to walk away with all three points.
A win could take Arsenal into third place, ahead of Aston Villa, and level on points with Manchester City, who sit in second place. However, should they lose and Liverpool beat Bournemouth the following day, they could find themselves eight points behind the league leaders.
