Every player to have played for both Tottenham & Man United in the Premier League

Ahead of their big clash on January 14, Ladbrokes looks at every single player to have played for both Tottenham & Man United in the Premier League.
On Sunday afternoon, Spurs travel to Old Trafford for their first league game of 2024, with Ange Postecoglu hoping to do the double over Erik ten Hag after beating the Red Devils 2-0 earlier in the season.
With the big game, which has huge implications in the fight for European football, taking place this weekend, Ladbrokes takes a look at the eight players in the Premier League era to have played for both clubs, starting with Christian Eriksen…
Christian Eriksen
Eriksen joined Man United during the summer of 2022 after his exit from Brentford. Thomas Frank’s side gave the Danish international a chance to return to football after his cardiac arrest at Euro 2020.
Despite having an offer to extend his stay with Brentford, Eriksen opted to leave the club and join United on a free transfer, but that all came after a seven-year spell at Tottenham, which ended in January 2020.
Eriksen joined from Ajax in 2013, going on to play a vital role in the side that finished second in both the Premier League and Champions League. The attacking midfielder played 226 league games for the club, scoring 51 goals on route to establishing himself as a fan favourite.
Sergio Reguilon
Just like Eriksen, Sergio Reguilon started off his Premier League career with Tottenham, before later joining Man United. The left-back spent the first half of this season on loan for the Red Devils, playing nine games in the Premier League before his was recalled by Postecoglu.
The Spaniard only joined Spurs in 2020 and has gone on to replay 52 times for Spurs in the league. With Ange’s side short on defenders, there’s always a chance that Sergio plays a few games over the remainder of this season, or he could always find himself out on loan once again.
Michael Carrick
The current Middlesbrough manager starred in the Premier League for Man United, winning several league titles with the Red Devils, but before that, he played for Tottenham in the centre of the park at White Hart Lane.
One of the more underrated midfielders to ever play in the division, Carrick played 64 times in the league for Spurs, after joining from West Ham in 2004. However, he enjoyed most of his success at Old Trafford after joining in 2006, going on to make 316 league appearances before leaving in 2018.
Zeki Fryers
From a Premier League great to someone who has only played 18 times in England’s top flight, we next move on to Zeki Fryers.
The left-back came through Man United youth’s academy and played twice during the 2011-12 season in the league, before a spell in Belgium at Standard Liege. In 2013, Fyers returned to England and played seven times in the league for Tottenham, before leaving the following year.
Fryers moved on to Crystal Palace, where he remained for three years, but failed to meet the expectations that some fans placed on him when he was playing for two of England’s biggest clubs. Now, at the age of just 31, he play his football for AFC Eskilstuna in Sweden.
Teddy Sheringham
Sheringham is one of the Premier League’s top strikers in history, remembered for his spell at West Ham, as well as Man United and Tottenham of course.
Teddy played for Spurs for five years between 1992 and 1997, scoring 75 league goals in 166 games for the side. He then moved on to Man United, where he was part of the side that won the treble in 1999, scoring a further 31 Premier League goals in 104 league games.
There was still some unfinished business for Sheringham at White Hart Kane though, as after leaving United in 2001, the striker returned to Spurs for a two-year stint, playing 70 times in the Premier League, scoring another 22 goals.
Spells at West Ham, Portsmouth and Colchester followed, before Sheringham moved onto management, taking the hot seat at Stevenage and then ATK in India.
Dimitar Berbatov
One of the most technically gifted players in the league on his day, Dimitar Berbatov started out his career in England with Spurs, playing 70 games in the Premier League for the club, scoring 22 goals.
Berbatov’s performances for Tottenham caught the attention of Sir Alex Ferguson, who brought the Bulgarian to Manchester United in 2008, playing 108 league games for the club, scoring 48 goals.
After winning several league titles, Berbatov left United to join Fulham, before wrapping up his career in Malaysia with Kerala Blasters Football Club in 2008.
Louis Saha
From one former United and Spurs striker to another, Louis Saha may end up going down as one of the more underappreciated forwards in Premier League history.
Starting out his time in England at Newcastle, where he joined on loan in 1999, Saha joined Fulham the following year, scoring 53 goals in 117 Premier League games before leaving for Man United.
Under Sir Alex, Saha scored 28 goals in 86 league games, leaving in 2008 for Everton where he added another 27 goals to his tally in just shy of 100 domestic league appearances.
A one-year spell at Spurs followed in 2012, where the French striker scored three goals in ten games, before having a spell with Sunderland and then Lazio in Italy, where he wrapped up his professional career.
Fraizer Campbell
Once tipped to be a top striker, Campbell started out his professional career at Man United in 2006, playing two league games before his exit in 2009, in which he failed to score a league goal.
Whilst contracted to United, Campbell joined Spurs on loan in 2008, playing ten times in the league and scoring one goal before leaving in 2009.
Campbell bounced around clubs in England before joining Huddersfield in 2019, he then played 92 games for the club, scoring ten goals, before wrapping up his career in 2022.
Man United are set to host Tottenham at Old Trafford this week, where they’re hoping to prevent Spurs from doing the double over them following a 2-0 loss at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier on in the 2023/24 season.
Ladbrokes’ pick for United v Spurs on Sunday afternoon is a draw, priced at 27/10. Erik ten Hag’s side have been priced as slight favourites, with odds of 23/20, compared to 21/10 for Spurs, but with several Tottenham stars missing due to injury or being on international duty, and with United’s poor form, a draw seems like the sensible pick.
