Fairview Betting Tips: Our trader talks Wednesday in South Africa
Published:
Irish Racing may have bitten the dust following yesterday afternoon’s meeting at Clonmel but South Africa races on with eight contests from Fairview today.
From the opener at 11:00 until the closer at 2:35, our man in the know has you covered with all of the key pointers.
Leading Trainer & Jockey
Alan Greef is the leading trainer at Fairview. He trainsat the track with around 100 horses in his yard and since the current SouthAfrican season started on August 1st he’s sent out 130 winners here which isover double the total of his nearest pursuer.
Greg Cheyne, who rides many of Greef’s horses, is by far the most successful jockey at the track so far this season having ridden 97 winners form 322 mounts with a strike rate of just over 30%.
Cheyne rode two of Greef’s three winners on themost recent Fairview card last Friday and the pair team up with six runnerstoday:
All The Stars (11.00), Mighty Rock (12.30), Marmara Sea (1:00), Captain’s Princess (1:30), Elusive Diva (2.00), Ladysmith (2.35).
Horse to Watch
Miss Orange (2.00) has won two of her previous five starts on the polytrack surface at Fairview including by a head when last seen here early in the month when also ridden by Teaque Gould.
That was over a shorter trip but she is already a course and distance winner and she looks to have a leading chance here.
