Kate Walsh - Grand National specials

This year’s renewal of the world’s greatest steeplechase is fast approaching with the 2017 Grand National now less than a week away.

And ahead of the 4m2f slog we’ve priced up a number of intriguing specials.

Jockeys, trainers and owners all feature in our list with 20/1 on offer for a first female jockey winner of the Aintree showpiece.

Katie Walsh holds the record for the highest placing achieved by a female with her mount Seabass finishing third in 2012.

She’ll be onboard the Paul Nicholls-trained Wonderful Charm, second in the recent Foxhunter Chase at the Cheltenham Festival and an entrant in last year’s National.

Nicholls is also the subject of one of our specials with 10/1 available for the Ditcheat saddler to win the race for a second time.

Saphir Du Rheu, Le Mercurey, Vicente and Just A Par are also set to represent the Somerset handler with the former rated his most likely chance.

Meanwhile, the Irish are once again set to be well-represented and there will no doubt be plenty of you fancying the raiding party to follow-up Rule the World’s 2016 victory.

Cause of Causes and More of That are just two of the high-quality entrants from the Emerald Isle and it’s 2/1 that an Irish-trained horse wins the 2017 Grand National.

The silks of powerful Irish owner JP McManus will be seen onboard both of the aforementioned charges and he’s 8/1 to taste another Aintree success.
