The Club World Cup, with the next iteration being scheduled for the summer in America, has undergone some major changes, with several top European clubs now set to feature in an expanded 32-team tournament.

The competition now takes on a similar format to the World Cup we see between countries every four years, and the reigning champions Man City have been installed as the early favourites to win the first of the new version.

They may fallen away majorly in the Premier League title race, with Liverpool now front-runners to win the competition, Man City are seen as the favourites to win the Club World Cup this summer, joint with Real Madrid and ahead of Bayern Munich, who make up the remainder of the top three.

Chelsea, PSG and Inter Milan are also in the running, according to the latest odds, but with several weeks to go until the tournament is played, a lot can change.

Below are the odds for all of the confirmed teams in the upcoming Club World Cup, with Madrid being given a 22% chance of lifting the trophy come July, despite a being the outsiders in the Champions League odds.

The competition has been highly controversial though, and with the threat of clubs pulling out over the workload of their players, FIFA is said to be introducing some rather strict rules.

Speaking of the nature of the tournament, it's been announced that the transfer window will open earlier than usual this year, allowing clubs to sign and register players for the Club World Cup at the end of the their respective domestic seasons.
