Flegmatik and Iroko joint-favourites with sponsor for Ladbrokes Trophy

Dan Skelton-trained Flegmatik and Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero-trained Iroko are the 6/1 joint-favourites for the Ladbrokes Trophy Handicap Chase, according to the sponsors.
A 31-strong field of entries for the Kempton classic was revealed on Tuesday, and no fewer than 10 runners are priced at 10/1 or shorter.

Legendary horses such as Desert Orchid and Rough Quest won this race en route to Cheltenham and Grand National triumphs. Iroko is one of several Ladbrokes Trophy hopefuls who’ll be aiming to emulate Rough Quest in doing a Handicap Chase-National double, while Lowry’s Bar is among the 10/1 shots gunning for Festival glory.
Cal Gildart of Ladbrokes said: “This race is known for excitement, and having 10 runners priced at 10/1 or shorter is testament to that. And with several Grand National entrants set to run, it could give us a clearer picture of who to keep an eye on at Aintree.”
