Belarusian Premier League Betting Tips: BATE to go top?
The Belarusian Premier League continues with eight matches over the weekend as Slutsk look to extend their lead over Zhodinho and BATE at the top.
Current league leaders Slutsk can’t avoid to slip up with just four points separating the top five teams heading into gameweek eight.
At the bottom of the table, Belshina and Smolevichi aren’t in action until Sunday. Both sides are winless and in desperate need of results if they are to avoid relegation.
There are two games on Friday and Saturday before a quartet of matches on Sunday to round off the weekend’s Vysshaya action. We’ve picked out a few of the key games …
Slutsk v Energetik-BGU (16:00 Friday)
A five-match unbeaten run has fired the hosts to the top of the Vysshaya Liga, which is why they will start the match as 6/5 favourites at Stadyen Haradski.
Fourth-placed Energetik-BGU (2/1) have won four and lost three of their seven games so far this campaign. It was 0-0 here last season and the draw 2/1 this time around.
Slutsk’s Umar Bala Mohammed has scored three goals across his last three appearances and will be one to watch.
Slavia Mozyr v Zhodinho (14:00 Saturday)
The battle for supremacy continues on Saturday with Zhodinho travelling to mid-table Slavia Mozyr. The hosts can move to within a point of their opponents with a victory and they are 13/8 to win on Saturday.
Zhodinho have lost only once this season, a 2-0 defeat to Dinamo Minsk in April. Last weekend, they recorded an impressive 5-2 victory over FC Minsk and they are 17/10 to win with over 1.5 goals in the match on Saturday.
Smolevichi v BATE (17:00 Sunday)
If results go their way, BATE Could move into first place on Sunday evening against a struggling Smolevichi side.
2018 league champions, BATE are 1/4 favourites to win against Smolevichi (12/1). Borisov will look to extend the home side’s winless streak with over 2.5 goals 19/20.
Elsewhere in the Vysshaya, the other Friday night fixture is Gorodeja v FC Minsk. The visitors are 29/20,having picked up three points from their last five games and have the leakiest defence in the league.
Neman v Rukh Brest play on Saturday. The away side are the joint lowest scorers in the league with three goals from their seven matches. Neman are 13/10 favourites. Under 1.5 goals in the match is 13/10.
The three other games on Sunday start with Isloch Minsk v Belshina followed by Vitebsk v Shakhtyor Soligorsk. The final match involves reigning league champions Brest (21/20) welcoming Dinamo Minsk (23/10).
