Brentford’s fans have had this match in their diaries since the fixture list was released as they face their sternest test since being promoted to the Premier League.
Both teams cruised through Tuesday’s Carabao Cup third-round ties fielding weakened teams so their first-choice players will be rested for the game at the Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday evening.

Talking Tactics
Klopp is likely to stick with his preferred 4-3-3 formation, but Thiago Alcantara has joined Harvey Elliott on the sidelines with a calf injury which means he will miss Saturday’s game. Trent Alexander-Arnold (illness) and Andy Robertson (rested) are likely to return.
Roberto Firmino has missed the last three matches with a hamstring injury but has returned to parts of training, although he is unlikely to feature this weekend.
Brentford boss Frank will stick with his 3-5-2 system, but midfielder Shandon Baptiste is suspended following his second-half dismissal in Saturday’s 2-0 win at Wolves.
