RB Leipzig v PSG Betting Tips: PSG to reach first ever European final?

Published:

History will be made in Lisbon on Tuesday night as both RB Leipzig and PSG aim to book their first ever Champions League final appearance with victory in the semi-final.

This will be the first competitive meeting between the two clubs and both teams will be full of confidence with a string of impressive performances so far in the competition.

PSG left it late to beat Atalanta in the quarter-final while the Germans edged past Atletico Madrid to reach the last four for the first time.

It is also unfamiliar territory for the French champions, who have only ever reached the semi-final stage once in their history back in 1995 against AC Milan.

Who will reach the final? The action kicks off at 20:00pm on BT Sport at the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon and we’ve got all the pre-match odds, team news and more right here….

Match Odds

This is the tournament the Parisians are desperate to win and they are the firm 8/11 favourites to win the match and 4/11 to qualify.

Julian Nagelsmann’s Leipzig kick-off as 10/3 underdogs despite winning seven of their eight previous knockout European ties. A draw is 29/10 meaning extra-time and penalties may be needed to decide the tie. Each side are 12/1 to win the match by penalty shootout.

Both sides managed to win their respective quarter-finals despite conceding. Both teams to score is 8/15 with over 2.5 goals in the match priced at 8/15.

PSG managed to win from behind against Atalanta and they are 7/1 to repeat the feat against the Bundesliga side. Leipzig are 16/1 on the same market.

Talking tactics

Both sides have no fresh injury worries ahead of their Champions League semi-final clash. RB Leipzig’s Ibrahima Konate is the only absentee after undergoing hip surgery last month.

Nagelsmann is likely to stick with the same side that beat Atletico with Patrik Schick and Emil Forsberg pushing for a starting spot. Quarter-final hero Tyler Adams may have to settle for a place on the bench.

For PSG, Marco Verratti and Layvin Kurzawa will remain sidelined. Goalkeeper Keylor Navas is a major doubt with Sergio Rico likely to deputise in goal.

Angel Di Maria returns from suspension with striker Kylian Mbappe likely to start after coming off the bench in the previous round.

Goalscorer Odds

The attacking threat of the PSG frontline will be Leipzig’s main concern in Lisbon with a three-pronged attack of Neymar, Mbappe and Mauro Icardi.

Mbappe is 21/20 to score anytime during the semi-final with Neymar 7/2 to score the opening goal of the match. Icardi is 13/10 to score anytime with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting 6/1 to score last.

For Leipzig, Schick is 5/2 to score anytime. Their Champions League top scorer Forsberg is 3/1 to find the net anytime during the 90 minutes. Adams is 17/2 to score anytime despite netting the winner last time out.
