Championship accumulator: back Forest and Cardiff to get wins

Published:

There are plenty of very tasty-looking Championship games to prolong the Easter break joy, but we’re sticking to just two for our Bank Holiday accumulator.

A double on wins for Nottingham Forest and Cardiff pays out at around a pretty decent 3/1 and is definitely worth consideration.

Here’s why…

Cardiff to beat Blackburn @ 8/13

The Bluebirds may have suffered a shock defeat to Peterborough on Saturday but there is plenty of evidence to suggest that the Championship leaders will pick up three points against Rovers.

They haven’t lost consecutive league games since November and have an excellent home record against teams from the bottom half of the English second tier, having lost just one of their nine games against sides currently occupying the lower reaches.

Meanwhile, Blackburn have yet to win an away game against any side outside of the current bottom four – that’s 15 games away from Ewood Park they’ve played this season without winning.

Nottingham Forest to beat Burnley @ 11/8

Forest are the form team in the Championship and are once again looking like making the play offs.

A draw against Brighton in their last game halted a winning streak of six straight games but a share of the points with their fellow promotion chasers isn’t any reason to back against them this Monday.

They face a Burnley side who have won just one of their previous 11 games in the Championship and have only scored once in their last four home matches.
