Andorra v England betting tips and odds

Unbeaten England can take another step towards automatic qualification for next year’s World Cup in Qatar when they face Andorra on Saturday night.

Gareth Southgate’s side are four points clear of Albania at the top of Group I and priced at 1/150 to make it six wins from seven.

The Three Lions are third in the world rankings following their run to the Euro 2020 final, so let’s see what their prospects are for Saturday’s match in our Andorra v England betting tips.

Match Odds

England have won all five meetings with Andorra without conceding by an aggregate of 20-0 and are just 3/10 to win to nil for a sixth time.

Andorra won their first match in almost two years when they beat San Marino last month and they scored in a 2-1 defeat in Hungary, but in between they lost 4-0 at Wembley so a similar outcome looks on the cards.

England to win and under 4.5 goals is available at 8/11, while victory by either 3-0, 4-0 or 5-0 scorelines can be backed at 9/2, 9/2 or 6/1 respectively.

The Euro 2020 runners-up took until the 18th minute to break the deadlock at Wembley thanks to the first of Jesse Lingard’s two goals, so we go 4/7 on the visitors to be leading after half an hour or it’s 33/20 on being ahead inside 15 minutes.

Southgate brought on Harry Kane, Jack Grealish and Mason Mount just after the hour with the score still 1-0, so with Hungary awaiting on Tuesday the England coach may save his senior players for the tougher game.

With that in mind, three or more goals in the second half at 21/20, as it was at Wembley just over four weeks ago, looks a possibility in our Andorra v England betting tips.

In our #GetAPrice specials, England to start with -1, score in both halves and keep a clean sheet is 8/11.

Talking Tactics

Southgate went with a 4-3-3 in the first match against Andorra with Patrick Bamford making his debut, but the Leeds man is injured as is team-mate Kalvin Phillips who has been replaced in the squad by Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse.

Bukayo Saka and Lingard supported Bamford in attack, with Jordan Henderson, Jude Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold in front of a back four comprising Tyrone Mings, Conor Coady, Kieran Trippier and Reece James, who has been forced to pull out with an ankle injury

Tammy Abraham and Ben Chilwell have been recalled and may get some minutes against the minnows.

Andorra lined up in a 5-4-1 against England last month and are likely to field a similar system this weekend.

Goalscorer Odds

Six of England’s players are odds-on to get on the scoresheet, including Kane, Abraham and Lingard, so that tells us what we need to know about the quality of the opposition.

As ever it’s probably worth checking the starting line-up an hour before kick-off, but it seems likely Southgate will adopt a similar plan by keeping his powder dry for Hungary.

Ben Chilwell may get minutes at left-back and is 9/2 to score, while Saka is 11/2 to break the deadlock or 7/5 to find the net as he did against Andorra.

Lingard got the ball rolling at Wembley and is 7/2 to repeat the trick, while Grealish is 6/4 just to score.
