Euro 2020 first-time winner odds: Who can follow Portugal’s lead?

Portugal won the last edition of the European Championship for the first time five years ago but could there be another new name on the trophy at the end of the month-long tournament?
There are some major players that have never won the Henri Delaunay trophy, such as England who are 5/1 to win the tournament, so we’re looking at the Euro 2020 first-time winner odds to see what the prospects of another maiden triumph are in July.
The odds on a familiar name winning the tournament next month are 4/6, with six of the top eight in the betting having tasted success at least once.
Familiar name is favourite
Germany and Spain top the charts with three titles while France have won the Euros twice, most recently in 2000.
Italy, Netherlands and lately Portugal have been crowned European champions once, so that leaves England and Belgium as the likeliest of the favourites.
The 1966 World Cup winners are second favourites to win the big one despite having injury concerns over Harry Maguire and Jordan Henderson while Trent Alexander-Arnold was replaced by Ben White after sustaining a thigh injury in the closing stages of the 1-0 friendly win against Austria.
Time for Three Lions to roar?
England reached the semi-finals in 1968 and 1996 and made it to the last eight in 2004 and 2012 but have never competed in the championship match.
Belgium’s golden generation is coming to fruition and having reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2016 and the last four of the 2018 World Cup, could this be their time to finally get their hands on silverware?

A first-time winner is priced at 6/4 but could some of the lesser nations produce a shock like Greece in 2004?
Croatia, who are in England’s group, are 33/1 to win Euro 2020 despite reaching the World Cup final in Russia.
Turkey have also had some encouraging results recently, beating Netherlands 4-2 in their opening World Cup qualifier and drawing 3-3 with Germany and Croatia in international friendlies, so they cannot be ruled out of the equation at 50/1.
