Euro 2020 group winner odds: Which teams will finish top?

| 08.06.2021

Twenty-four teams qualified for the European Championship which starts on Friday but which nation will end top of each of the six groups?

Finishing ahead of your rivals should guarantee an easier path in the knockout stage which involves the top two and the four best third-placed teams.

England are 2/5 to win their section as we take a look at the Euro 2020 group winner odds ahead of the delayed tournament.

Group A

Italy, who won all 10 qualifiers and are unbeaten in their last 27 matches, are the 4/7 favourites in the group winner odds but Turkey have built up some real momentum ahead of the tournament, beating Netherlands 4-2 in the Nations League which kickstarted a six-match unbeaten run. They also drew 3-3 with Germany in a friendly in October.

The Turks are 9/2 to finish top of Group A, just like Switzerland who have won their last six matches including a 3-0 victory over Euro 2020 rivals Ukraine. Wales prop up the group at 7/1.

Group B

Belgium, the world’s top-ranked team, are 8/11 to top their group having lost just one of their last 23 matches – 19 of which were victories – and they won all 10 matches in qualifying for Euro 2020.

Their main rivals are expected to be Denmark who are 5/2 having won nine of their last 11 games, including a 1-0 victory against England at Wembley. Russia were beaten easily by Belgium home and away in qualifying and are 9/2 to top the group, with Finland the underdogs at 14/1.

Group C

Netherlands are 2/5 favourites to top Group C despite failing to qualify for the last two major tournaments and they lost 4-2 in Turkey at the start of their World Cup qualifying campaign.

Yaremchuk Yarmolenko Malinovskyi Ukraine

Ukraine finished head of Portugal in qualifying and recently drew 1-1 with France in a World Cup qualifier, so we go 9/2 on the eastern Europeans to head the group while Austria, who lost to a second-string England team last week just over two months after losing 4-0 at home to Denmark, are 5/1, with North Macedonia the outsiders at 16/1.

Group D

Euro 2020 co-favourites England are 2/5 to win a group containing Croatia, Scotland and Czech Republic, a team they beat 5-0 at Wembley during the qualification process although the Czechs gained revenge with a 2-1 win in Prague.

Croatia beat England in the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup and are 10/3 to finish top while the Czechs and the Scots are 11/1 and 12/1 respectively.

Group E

Spain are the 4/11 favourites in the Euro 2020 group winner odds on the back of a seven-match unbeaten run which included a 6-0 rout of Germany in the Nations League.

Luis Enrique’s young side won eight and drew two of their 10 qualifiers and head a field also containing Poland, who lost 2-1 to England without Robert Lewandowski in a World Cup qualifier in March. They also won eight of their 10 games in qualifying and are 5/1 to top the group, with Sweden just behind at 6/1 and Slovakia ranked outsiders at 12/1.

Group F

The most fascinating group of all and the only one in which the favourites are odds against. World champions France are 11/8 to top a group containing Germany (7/5) and defending champions Portugal (3/1).

France have an excellent recent record against Germany, winning three and drawing two of their last five encounters, and they took four points off Portugal in the Nations League towards the end of 2020. Hungary wrap up the group as 33/1 long shots.
