Europa League betting tips: Rangers and Tottenham to finish top of their groups?

| 10.12.2020

We wave goodbye to the Europa League group stages tonight where the final thirty-two teams will be confirmed. Who else will be joining Arsenal, Rangers, Leicester and Tottenham in the knockout stages of the competition?

It’s been an impressive group stage for the British contingent with Arsenal, Rangers and Leicester all comfortably through with games to spare.

Jose Mourinho will be a little frustrated not to have wrapped up Group J earlier. Spurs face Antwerp to determine who tops the group as they try to avoid the likes of Ajax, Roma and RB Salzburg who drop in from the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Celtic will be hoping to finish a disappointing campaign with a win on home soil at Celtic Park. Here is what’s coming your way tonight…

Dundalk v Arsenal – 17:55

Arsenal have made light work of qualifying from Group B and have the luxury of having already sealed top spot before a ball is kicked tonight.

Dundalk (18/1) are without a point in the competition and it’s no surprise that Arsenal are 2/13 favourites to make it six wins out of six.

Mikel Arteta’s side have been free-scoring so far in the competition with sixteen goals in their five matches, plus the bonus of having only shipped three goals.

Three goals in four minutes was enough to secure a 3-0 win at the Emirates when these two sides met on matchday three. Eddie Nketiah opened the scoring that day and he’s 16/5 to repeat the feat tonight. Alexandre Lacazette is 10/3 to score two or more in Dublin.

Lech Poznan v Rangers – 17:55

Rangers are unbeaten in all competitions this season with Steven Gerrard’s side winning 21 out of 25 matches so far. The Gers are 8/15 to win away from home and continue their impressive form.

Despite qualifying, Rangers are set to field a strong line-up against an already-eliminated Poznan (24/5). Victory for the Scottish Premiership leaders would guarantee them top spot Group D ahead of Benfica, who have the same number of points.

There have been over 3.5 goals in each of Rangers last three Europa League outings. Both teams to score is 8/13 with over 2.5 goals 8/15 in Poland.

Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe are both 13/10 to score anytime for the visitors with Mikael Ishak 6/1 to score the first goal of the match for Lech Poznan.

Celtic v Lille – 20:00

It’s been a miserable Europa League campaign for Celtic, wo have picked up just one point from their five matches and sit bottom of Group H.

Celtic are 12/5 to score their first three points in the group and end a wretched run of four defeats in five Europa League games. A draw is 13/5.

Lille travel to Celtic Park knowing that a win would be enough to top Group H ahead of AC Milan. The two sides drew in France on matchday two with Mohamed Elyounoussi scoring twice for the Hoops.

Albian Ajeti is 15/8 to score anytime for Celtic with Odsonne Edouard 5/1 to score first. For Lille, Burak Yilmaz is 13/10 to score anytime.

Leicester v AEK Athens – 20:00

Leicester are already assured of a place in the last 32 and will finish top so long as they prevail on Thursday, with Braga level with the Foxes on 10 points but behind on head-to-head results.

The Foxes will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat to Zorya last time out and they’re 3/10 to finish the group stage with a win at home.

In contrast, there is nothing but pride on the line for AEK Athens (17/2) after a dismal Europa League campaign in which the Greek giants have prevailed just once in Group G.

Jamie Vardy is 9/4 to score anytime with Kelechi Iheanacho 23/10 to score first at the King Power Stadium. Karim Ansarifard and Nelson Oliveira are both 7/2 to score anytime for the visitors.

Tottenham v Royal Antwerp – 20:00

Both teams have booked their place in the knockout stages of the Europa League but top spot is still up for grabs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs suffered a narrow defeat in Belgium six weeks ago and also dropped points in a 3-3 away draw with LASK Linz in matchday five. Tottenham are 3/10 to win the match and top Group J to avoid one of the Champions League dropouts.

Royal Antwerp have won four of their five group matches and will remain top of the group if they avoid defeat in London. The Belgians are 17/2 to win and a draw is 17/4.

Harry Kane is 23/10 to score first with Carlos Vinicius and Son Heung-min both 10/11 to score anytime. Lior Refaelov scored the only goal of the game last time out and he’s 7/2 to score anytime for Antwerp.
