European football tips: El Clasico takes centre stage

European football tips and odds

There’s only one place to start for Sunday’s European football tips as Barcelona and Real Madrid renew their rivalry at Camp Nou.

Both teams enjoyed Champions League victories during the week but Los Blancos are slight favourites at 29/20 to win El Clasico in Catalonia.

We are also covering the clash between La Liga champions Atletico Madrid and leaders Real Sociedad as well as two great games in Serie A for our European football tips.

Barcelona v Real Madrid

Barca got their first points on the board in the Champions League on Wednesday with a 1-0 victory over Dynamo Kiev.

Four wins and a draw in five outings at Camp Nou mean they are 33/20 to beat their arch rivals, who thrashed Shakhtar Donetsk 5-0 in Ukraine.

Ronald Koeman’s side have had a patchy start to the campaign having seen Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann leave in the summer and they have lost their last three meetings with Real Madrid.

The visitors are 29/10 to win and concede as they did home and away last season or it’s 15/8 on an away win and over 1.5 goals which has been the case in the last three.

Both teams to score, over 2.5 goals and either team to win can be backed at 6/5 as one of our European football tips.

Atletico Madrid v Real Sociedad

Atletico return to domestic action after a wild 3-2 defeat by Liverpool in which Antoine Griezmann scored twice to draw the hosts level only to be sent off early in the second half for a high boot.

Diego Simeone’s side beat Sociedad home and away last season and are 8/13 to repeat the trick but they have drawn with both Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao at the Wanda Metropolitano this season, so we go 13/5 on a share of the spoils.

Sociedad may top the table but they have played a game more and they lost 4-2 at Barcelona in their only meeting with top-three sides, so Atletico to win and concede is 16/5 while Griezmann to score is 13/8.

Inter Milan v Juventus

Serie A champions Inter are the 11/10 favourites to win this battle of the giants having won five and drawn two of their first eight games.

Juve made a terrible start to the season but they have now won four in a row and defeated Zenit St Petersburg 1-0 with a late goal in the Champions League during the week, a day after Inter Milan earned a 3-1 win against Real Madrid’s conquerors Sheriff Tiraspol.

The visitors are 12/5 to win and 11/4 to do so by a one-goal margin which has been the case in their last five matches in all competitions.

A draw is available at 5/2 and it’s 16/5 with goals thrown in while both teams to score, over 2.5 goals and either team to win is 11/8.

Roma v Napoli

Napoli top the table with a perfect eight wins and are 27/20 to beat a Roma team thrashed 6-1 by Bodo/Glimt in the Europa Conference League – the heaviest defeat in Jose Mourinho’s managerial career.

The Portuguese fielded a second-string side on Thursday night and he will need his senior players back in the saddle following 2-0 and 4-0 defeats to Napoli last season.

The visitors are 18/5 to win to nil for a sixth time this season or 14/5 to win and concede while a fourth successive victory over Roma by over 1.5 match goals is 17/10.

A score draw, however, can be backed at 3/1 as one of our European football tips.
